I suppose I was thinking about when a question is rejected, and the reason is simply that it isn't suitable for publication. For me, I would struggle to understand in what way it is not suitable. The wording, the length, the subject, etc? And there is no way of going back to that question to amend it, you have to do it all again from scratch. I wasn't sure if there was a way around this, to make it easier for people.
But I wasn't aware that people can get a personalised note advising them, so thanks for informing me of this. x

I have the Answer - WHAT was the Question?
Another SENIOR moment!!! How I love mentalpause...
Congrats Andrew and all the hardworking Aunties and Uncles who have answered those 100,000+ questions and to all those out there who put there faith and trust in us to answer 'em! Congrats to all the moderators too!

A
reader, anonymous, writes (9 May 2009): Samantha, There is a standardised reason (and a general description of it) with each rejected question (although a small rate of all questions fit into this category). There is also the possibility for moderators to add a personalised note to the rejected posting to explain why the question cannot pass (rarely necessary as the standard codes are usually clear enough and a helpful guideline to the OP). Posters may also address a moderator or the site manager in regard to this type of problem. So we have an efficient way to communicate with the posters also in these cases. The posts are let through at the next submitting if the respective suggestions are taken into account. What is important is the site is not meant to impose barriers, the main purpose here is to allow people to receive helpful insights into their life problems, thus have more questions pass and problems solved.

A
reader, anonymous, writes (9 May 2009): As a suggestion, I was thinking about when questions aren't posted because they are not deemed appropriate. Would it be possible for the person to be told in what way the question is inappropriate? It would then make it easier for that person to adjust it accordingly. x

You hardly see any trollies making it through any more, either askers or answerers. Keep up the good work, folks. I can't be on as much as I once was, but I am still here...in spite of more down rates. Sorry,..but I have to say what I think. Do you just want to be stroked and lied to? (smile)

DearCupid is verified as being by the original poster of the questionOtherstarfish: Over 1.1 million (1,138,208 to be excact!) unique visitors have been on the site over the past 30 days according to Google Analytics.
Satin: Most folks nowadays are on dynamic IPs so they change each time they visit the site or every day or two, and don't allow us to block that many IPs. We do have lots of technology behind the scenes to "manage" trolls though. Most don't get through.

Do we know numbers of unique IPs that view the site?
Can we have a logo to celebrate please...so annoying on the favourites its just blank....maybe a cupid stamp? I can ask if a clever graphic person could do one?
