I am 14 and in the past few weeks I have had a few episodes where I don't remember what I have just done. For example, I was getting ready for bed, and decided to write a small list, I sat down with a pen and paper and then the next thing I know, I had written a list. Another time I was sitting eating my lunch next to my mum and she went out, I just remember eating, but when my mum walked in to eat her lunch, I was eating it and I had somehow got myself a glass of water! I haven't been getting the best sleep ever but it has been that way for a while.I am worried I will blank out and do something stupid! Please help me!! thanx xox Reply to this Question Share |

You could be having what is called mini seizures, or petite mal seizures. They are the ones that make you blank out but you dont fall in the floor and shake. My ex used to have them and if he didn't tell me he had one I would have never known it. Do you feel real tired and have a headache after you have one of these spells? If so you may want to have yourself checked because he said that was the biggest problem after having them is the pain in his head and being exhausted. Good luck to you and please dont ignore this.

If you are, then that is DEFINITELY the cause of your little episodes. Drugs are bad news. They are addictive, mentally and physically, and the side effects are horrible, such as blacking out and doing stuff you don't remember doing. And the long term problems are horrible. If that is an issue, then the sooner you fix this habit the better off you will be. If it is an issue you should tell someone right away and get treatment.
HOWEVER, if it is NOT drug-related, (meaning you DON'T do drugs), then it could be a symptom of sleep deprivation. How long have you gone without sleep?? Going for long periods without sleeping can also make your brain function so randomly and slow that your memory and cognition doesn't even realise half the things you do. So it could definitely be sleep related. In that case you NEED to get good sleep. It is so important.
Now if you are not using drugs, and you start getting good sleep and still your symptoms don't get better, then I would go to the doc. (Even though I get the feeling the doc will probably say its nothing or might account it to anxiety or something.) But go anyways, just for reassurance, if your symptoms don't get better.

You should talk to your parents IMEADIATLY, this could be rather dangerous, just don't panic and they could possibly wear off, change a few things in your life, if you use thing like tampons, stick to pads for a cycle and see if it makes any difference, also if you are doing strange things, or disturbing things, stop.
Talk to a doctor if thing progress.

I don't think it's a medical problem. You mentioned you haven't gotten sleep. So that may be the problem. Or You're not getting enough protein or something... But I'm sure that what's going on with you is a result of something else. Don't worry too much, just keep a close watch on what you do.
