reader, anonymous, writes (27 May 2011): I'm 5'5 flat foot and height is not important to me. I like short girls but I like taller girls a lot more. When short girls constantly tell you you're not tall enough for them, it makes you a lot more open to dating women who aren't so shallow and height focused. Most tall women prefer to avoid shorter guys but there are those who are exception to the rule. They pay less attention to height and focus more on the person. Those are the tall ladies that I like.

 I prefer someone my own height or shorter. Sometimes if there is too much of a height difference it just makes things awkward like hugging or dancing for example. As for being attracted to someone I don't think height makes a difference for me.
I also have done things sexually with a girl who was taller then me and also much short and both were just fine. I could only see it being a problem if there was a huge height difference like a foot or more.

I've dated taller girls and shorter girls - and height has never really bothered me. In the end it's about whether the girl is a good, trustworthy person more than anything. Height just doesn't matter if you're the right girl.

MOST men I know (except for some weird reason my younger son who likes taller (5'5" or more) girls like short girls.

I like tall women, mostly because I really like how long legs look. However, my current girlfriend is petite at 5'3" and I love her how she is. She doesn't have long legs (well, for her height she does) but she is beautiful and has other features I appreciate. Overall, I would say that men care a lot less about height than women do. Lots of women won't ever date a man shorter than they are, but men will date taller women no question.

I would say it's about proportions as well, if the waist to hip ratio is good and have nice long thin legs then you will be very beautiful regardless of height. I have a relative who plays in the NBA and his wife is 5 foot 3 so definately there is no accounting for taste when it comes to height.my lady is shortish, but it doesnt seem to matter, she fits snuggly in my shoulder when we are lying in bed... TMI! and I'm 6ft 2

My last GF was almost 6 feet tall. (Im 5'10") Didnt bother me much, except perhaps when she wore 3" heels on a night out!
But I have dated a girl who was barely 5 feet tall.
Both were very sexy so it doesnt make a difference really, except maybe in a few sexual positions. While I could pick up the small lady in my arms and carry her about 'tall' lady and I could do it standing up so swings and roundabouts. All good mate.

 I prefer short girls, myself. Not to the point where it's a criterion, just a preference. But if a tall girl has proportionately long legs, the ones that go up a mile, that's always nice to see.
Guys in general may have different preferences, but I've rarely heard from any guy who cares enough to exclude girls from consideration - except when the girl is taller than him, or even just taller than he is while she's wearing heels.

I'm a girl 5'10 in height, which is considered tall by many. I don't think it plays a big part in finding a guy. I don't get the vibe that guys prefer me over smaller girls. Also if you look in Hollywood, many starlets are 5'5 in height, which is pretty average and people fawn over them.

 Well I am not male, but I am a short girl! I am only 5"3, so pretty small....and I have never struggled to find a guy. I have even dated men who are over 6ft!
There are all kinds of men that like all kinds of women. Some men like tall women, long legs are always going to be a turn on and if the guy is tall well he wont have a problem with dating a tall girl.
Equally there are men who like dating short women as they like to feel they are 'protecting' their girl and they find small women cute. Look at Kylie Minogue, Shakira, Eva Longoria....there are many gorgeous short women!
But what you will find is that very few men would be comfortable dating a woman who is taller than him - so if you are short you will never have that problem!
Sex is no different whether you are tall or short, apart from if you are a lot shorter than the guy it is difficult to have sex standing up (hence why high heels are a good idea for us shorties!).
Dont worry about your height, as long as you are not freakishly small or crazily tall you will never have a problem finding a guy who is attracted to you. Sex will be good regardless of height, and most men are not so fussy that they would turn down a pretty girl because of her height! If you are attractive then men will like you - height doesnt really matter to men!
