Absolutely.

I think it's possible, but usually at some point in the relationship deeper feelings creep in. How those are handled will ultimately define the relationship.

Yes it's possible to just be friends with the opposite sex, have you ever seen "When Harry met Sally"? perfect example right there.
I have had guy friends for years that I am not sexually attracted to at all in any way and we have stayed friends.

Yes, it is possible. And even the sexual attraction does not make it impossible. You may find sexually attractive even your enemy, or a person on the other side of the street. Friendship and sexual feelings does not exclude each other.

If you're attractive, the guys have noticed.
They may not have acted for various reasons - but they notice.
Some people can handle that sort of sexual tension in a platonic relationship, some can't.

Guys and girls can be friends I believe. But not all guys and girls. I for one have a hard time being friends with men without at some point having had any romantic/sexual attraction towards them. Once that "phase" I guess you could call it has passed, I have been able to be friends.
I think men and women become friends easier when they are forced to be together because of the circumstances, such as studying together, working together, or being on the same sports team etc. In most other situations it is quite typical for the one part to fall for the other.

I don't believe this sentiment. I have had a lot of female friends, and I haven't fancied any of them. So unless they all fancied me and I'm the world's greatest sex machine (which I very much doubt sadly), I think that you can have friends of the opposite sex without either fancying the other.
