 Generally, men love women who are neither straight lines not spheres. Basically men don't like women who remind them of 3-rd grade geometry (though exceptions abound).
I've always been slim without being "thin" and I've never had a problem with lack of male attention. I have a friend who is very thin (think long-distance runner) but has no problems either, but then she has a remarkably beautiful face. Another cousin is gorgeously curvy and she's had a happy sex/love life as well.
I think when it comes to men, your shape is a lesser worry - personality will win as long as you take care to be presentable. Sloppy dressing, bad make-up, a whiny personality...these things will often hurt you more than whether you are thin or heavy.

reader, anonymous, writes (30 May 2011): Also, men like to look at thin girls more as society has engineered them too through the media and they may pay them more attention. BUT the truth is that men prefer to have sex with girls with curves as that is what women are meant to look like naturally.
I'm bisexual too and I would not go anywhere near a girl who was below a size 12 and I would prefer size 14/16. I'm quite slim and tall myself, around a size 12 and my bf likes curvy girls. Sometimes I wish I was bigger!

I am a large boned woman (there really IS such a thing - I wear a size 9 ring) and will never be a size 6. I eat well and exercise and comfortable being a moderately tall, healthy size 16 and my curves and full thighs are affirmed by my lover who lovingly caresses, rubs, and grabs at me in my thickest areas letting me know he likes what he is touching and experiencing.
I especially feel his admiration of me this during our lovemaking when he holds me close and squeezes. Ohh-weeee!
I tried to deal with man before my current lover who kept telling me I was obese. I'm not, knew what it was like to have my body type desired, so I wouldn't buy into his assertion that something was wrong with me. I finally got him to 'admit' his preference for petite woman. No problem, just get out of my face as there is nothing about me that is petite. Duh!
I told him to go find a petite woman and be happy. Everyone has their 'type'. I see no need to enter into a relationship where the person wishes you were something/ someone else.
Especially when you can be happy and affirmed with someone who's into your specific body type.

 i have been skinny, slim, overweight and back again in my lifetime. the times i get more attention from men is when i am slim, i am always the same person with the same face, but maybe i appear more confident when i am slim and that makes me more attractive?
i feel that yes, most men prefer slim healthy looking women rather than over or underweight ones

Is it that difficult to imagine that different men have different tastes? As a bisexual I would prefer a woman with curves, as Im not attracted to thin girls, although personality triumphs all body types. As a thin framed woman myself I don't have a problem attracting men, so I know that works as well.
It all works. Men love women. Just remember that personality triumphs looks.

Different men want different things and often on the same day. I find I am attracted to some skinny women and also to some more curvaceous women. It depends on the woman, her dress, her appearance, her personality, and how she carries herself. If I *had* to choose one, I would choose curvy. Others might choose differently.

 Everyone has their choice, I think we're all unique and special, whether you're skinny as a skeleton or fat as an elephant, I dont see why people should judge other people, everyone on this earth is a creation of God, so please lets stop criticising over crucial things like weight, there are guys who prefer skinny girls, if they feel that way, then let them feel that, the same goes to average and curvy girls. In my opinion I prefer curvy girls but that doesn't mean I should sideline others. Lets love our Women! They are the most precious gifts from God.

 Let me tell u from experience, I am not fat. But yes I got some curves! And I know how to rock them! I look better in a short skirt anyday compared to a butterknife! Never ever be worried about having hips or curves. Many men find it attractive. Look at Kim Kardashian for example. Love love love her! So many women can rock what they got, just have confidence in no matter what you do. Guys will think it is super sexy, trust me!  Skinny as in, skinny as a rake? I don't find it attractive at all if a girl is as skinny as a stick. I like a body that shows effort, a toned body. Then again, there are women with larger bodies that are strangely alluring in their own way. I can't explain it. Don't worry about your body, just take care of yourself and you'll be fine. I mean, size doesn't really matter in the end anyway unless all you want is sex. If you're a good person, people will fancy you anyway.

I am a girl, but I am not the skinniest. I have hips, a butt, and my waist isn't exactly Victoria's Secret model material. But I have guys who have told me I am sexy. I have been told having curves is sexy, and I have began to belive it. I don't believe having curves and not being a stick is unnatractive.
