no You will not gain wait instead it will be healthy because apples have natural sugar that is not man made. Man made sugar is fat because your body does not know what to do with it but natural sugar is something your body can handle.

I went from 132 lbs to 108 in only 5 weeks. By eating an apple a day but drinking lottts of water and walking for half hour a day.. i would say yesss got for it you ll lose fat so soon.

Do It!

Everyone above says quote "your body will just start storing fat and you will gain twice the weight" and they talk of "survival mode" They are fucked up!

Answer this question, how is it possible to store fat... if your not eating any?

Do it but not for more than a week at a time take a couple days rest in between

***Also celery is a minus calorie food!, it actually BURNS calories just digesting it!

PLEASE caller, reply back so I can know more about your situation. What has driven you to do something so drastic? Just how badly do you feel about your body? What are some stresses in your life right now, etc.

Depending on the answers to these questions, it could show if you mite be especially prone to developing an eating disorder.

I have anorexia/non-purging bulimia. I'm gonna be honest, and despite how some people may feel, anorexia generally gives me...a sense of general well-being. I feel very powerful when doing it, and very accomplished and happy with weight loss---however because of this behavior, it directly leads to episodes of bulimia as well--- periods when I will break down and shovel food into my mouth, and then run as much as 16 mi in an effort to get rid of it; this is where depression comes in. I cannot even begin to express the self-hatred I feel when I look in the mirror during times like this. 2 years have flown by, because most of my thoughts have revovled around this.

It is hell...and yet I cannot imagine life not thinking this way. I've become so isolated; no one can be trusted. There's no one to talk to. I feel worthless, selfish, and most times I feel I do not deserve to live. It does not help, the massive stigma associated with this disorder---that this is just a fad diet and I am intentionally putting myself through such pain.

I guess what I'm ultimately trying to say, is that if you are prone to this disease, and the mentality has already begun, despite people here telling you logically not to do it---you will feel driven to do it regardless...

This post was so long ago too...who knows where you are now...

I just hope that wasn't the case, and that where you are mentally is still rational...

yes you will loose weight quickly too quickly and may end up in hospital i am looseing weight my self but you have to eat more than that because by eating so little your body isnt getting what it needs. this is a very dangerous way of dieting i reasently lost 3 stone so now i have to tone up but i never starved my self i just cut out the rubbish (e.g) sweets crisps) try to follow differant diet plans but i bet your not evan fat. i know more than any body how important it is to loose weight when you arent happy with your body ive lost weight and im still not happy im going to the gim with friends a few times a week you should do something simmilar

just make sure your careful whatever you decide good luck xxx

Worst idea EVER, your body will just start storing asd much fat as possible when it realises youre starving it, where do you expect to get the energy to even move from 2 measly apples. your body needs all sorts of nutrients vitamins and minerals to work, what youre donig is like trying to run a car engine 24 hours a day with 2 cups of fuel. if you are mildly overweught for your height, which to be so youd probably have to be under 5'2 then id suggest eating different food groups and only them, each day... so one day just red meat, another vegetables, another apples, another lots of carbs etc, this will keep you one step ahead of your metabolism, but you also need to EXERCISE, aerobic exercise like walking jogging or swimming are ideal for all over fat burning, better to do this early in the morning as it can take 30 minutes of exercise in the evening before your body even starts to lose calories... also using weights, as the ligaments attatching muscle to your skeleton requires lots of calories for fuel... but starvation like you plan is one of the worst ways you can try to lose weight and it just will not work, think about it... if eating 2 apples a day would make people slim, everyone would be doing it

9 stone isnt even fat at all to be honest. i'm 9 stone and a half but i am five foot ten and taller than average. eating 2 apples a day will make you skeletal, not thin or slim. you should eat healthily instead, it'll work alot better. 2 apples a day and you will become anorexic. eating healthily and sensibly is probably best. or eat as you would normally, but cut out sweets and crisps and chocolate.

that is a really silly thing to do because

1. you cannot survive on this and you are slowing your metabolism as your body thinks 'im starving' so when you try and eat normally again, itll all store as fat

2. you will not enjoy life as youll be contantly craving everything and anything

3. you sound like you definately have the will power to eat 2 apples a day but your leading yourself up to one massive binge as a result of your bodies natural cravings

4. you arent addressing the underlying problems ie. you hate your body and your trying to rectify this with an extreme diet which is going to make you feel worse with the combination of bad side effects and failing the diet.

resolution:

why are you overeating? address that problem

*eat 3 meals a day and ONE 100 CAL OR LESS SNACK and that is all!!!!

*make sure each meal has some low fat protein and alot of fibre (veg and wholegrain )as protein and fibre are the things that make you feel full

* never skip breakfast...never

*stay with low fat and stick with low gi foods (look on the label, if its less than 50g of carbohydrate per 100g of product then its low gi)

*if you overindulge once in a while, dont beat yourself up about it, identify what went wrong and learn from it, one day of bad eating wont make you put on weight but keep that attitude and youll go off the rails again

ive been where you are and searched the internet for hours after each binge searching for the latest quick fix diet, THEY NEVER WORK you want a lifetime diet

dont do it i tries eating a orange and 1 bana a day...i did it for 3 days and i dint shred a single pound can you believe it,its cause your body is not getting enough intake it needs so u have to eat minimum of 900 calories for extreme wieght loss to lose 2 pounds a week ..ok and eating 2 apples mean 200 calories per day which is not gonna get u anywhere

Have you seen the movie The Machinist, starring Christian Bale... He dropped

a tremendous amount of weight... He did it by eating only apples and one

can of tuna fish a day.....

If the movie is not available to you look Christian up on the web, you will see a pic of him... He looks amazing!!!!

It is so frustrating to hear all the criticism from friends and family... I

support all my friends in what ever they want to do...Be it school,

work, drugs, anything.... They know the risks

Hya listen hun am 9 and a hlf stone n 5foot 5 in,i tryed starving myself cos of al pics in magazines of models i lost bout half a stone n then thought i wil eat normaly agen. geus wot i put on 1 and a half stone. I decided i needed to change so i excersized on my nike everydayn continuously ate healthily: meaning for snacks i ate fruit for meals i ad veg n al stuff gd no junk food at al cos i wo too ful to av junk food n i lost the weight so from 10 n half i lost it al n am now 9 and a half it took me 2 months and i am over the moon wi mi body, those fad diets n models are all unhappy so y bother i lv my curves n wished i ad never starved my self n jus did the healthy excersize regime n beleive me it works by the way am 14

If u do this for 10 days (eatin 4apples, with no exercise) u could loose half a stone bt then as soon as u start eatin normally u put it all back on again. But trust me u will never learn!

I do it every month or so wen i feel that iv put on weight and loose bout half a stone each time but after a week i get cravings for unhealthy food...binge then put it back on in a couple of days!so its just a vicious circle!id say if u have never tried this apple diet before then DON'T!!!it will mess with your metabolisim and digestion!n when u start eatin normally again u will b constipated!xx

I would not try eating two apples a day for long, as of course we all know it is not healthy overall for your body. We need fresh vegetables, fruits, protein.

It sounds like your body needs a boost. Try a liquid diet for two weeks. Water, Milk, juice, coffee ect. You will probably loose 10 lbs. There after start eating again, but in small portions and clean foods. Cut out the junk, otherwise if you go back to the junk your body will put it back on. Also keep the portions small and frequent, every three hours. Beyonce Knowles lost weight on a liquid diet, she did it for two weeks. however nothing longer than that cause your body will not be able to handle and will start to shut down.

The way to achieve any goal in life is to think long term and look at the bigger picture. Then set small goals to act upon daily. If you are patient and keep it up daily.. it will eventually come. Goals reach with patience are most likely to stay.

Eating apples everyday is not possible in the long run.. so your plan has already failed.

Eating a balanced diet that has slightly less than the same amount of calories your body burns daily.. will not make you lose weight in 1 week.. but in a few months you will see results and you will be a happy snout

if you really do want to lose weight then 2 apples a day wont work. the reasons for this are plenty. some of which are:

1. if you have any parents or loved ones that care about u i doubt v. much that they will let you undernourish yourself like that.

2. even if you did manage to stick to that for a little while, you could never maintain that diet in the long run. just imagine eating only apples for the rest of your life... or even a year! if you want to lose weight and keep that weight off PERMANENTLY then you have to do the weight loss thing gradually. cut out all snacks, cut out all junk first

then you can gradually make your portions smaller but not too small.

3. if you only ate 2 apples a day youd barely have any energy and without energy how could you exercise?!? and tbh the best way to lose weight is to exercise not to starve.

4. just a warning: if you inly eat 2 apples a day you will not be happy with your body even if you do lose weight in the long term (which i doubt you will) this is because without nutrients, vitamins, carbs, protein, zinc, calcium etc etc etc etc your skin will become spotty and your hair lank and greasy and no matter how thin you are you will not be attractive

so diet the healthy long term way thats basically my advice!

please don't do it..like you i wanted to lose weight..i cut out everything pretty much living on 300 calories a day (more than 2 apples) and it has destroyed me. I am now underweight as II didn't realise when to stop and am currently on a refeeding programme. Although my weight is increasing i still dont see food the way i used to and i binge eat making me feel fat and disgusting. I am now more unhealthy than when i started and my body is suffering. at 9 stone your fine and please dont ruin your life like i hav.

hello there 2 apples a day, your mad, here try this

green tea and strawberrys is the morning ,

lunch have same grapes and green tea , and a fruit juice,

and diner before 5pm , eat some spinach with broccoli cook it and put it in a mixer, start a liquid diet with fruits and walk and hour a day say in the evening after dinner,

thats what i have done for a month only, I was 9 and 1/2 stone and now 8 and 1/2 and I done it in a month, so only apples arent enough, if you eat more fruit and green tea helps you burn fat and calories better, if you still feel hungry just have some grapes, hope this might help you , kel.xxx

Its easy for others to say don't do this, when perhaps they have never felf the way you do right now. I have thought like you probably for the past 20 years. battling with the misconception eat less, loose more. It simply does not work!! I'm delighted to say I have lost 5 stone, 3 of which over the last year and have kept the weight off by doing the following!!

The first thing I deceided was how did I want to look? I was never going to be a long legged lovely, my shape won't allow it. I found athletic and toned suited me better (and the men prefer it too :)

Then, rather than adopt the crazy diet approch I firstly stopped calling it a diet!! it's now a new eating plan! after hours of research I learnt to get the body shape and tone I wanted would take a whole new approach. Eat every 2-3 hours! yes, you heard me right!! ok gone are the cakes and cookies my body loved, or thought it loved, and in came lots of turkey, chicken and fish. boring it sounds but the feeling of being slimmer and toned felt so much better than the greedy bloated feeling of eating the wrong things!

So, as I don't want to bore you to tears, your body is like a car. It needs fuel. If you starve yourself the first thing you eat your body stores as fat because it doesn't know when it will be re-fuelled again, EVEN IF YOU EAT APPLES! because fruit is full of natural sugars!!!!!

If you are so desperate to loose weight, make sure the sat.fats are low, protein is high and carbs are low. BUT forget worring about the calories trust me it works!! good luck! jut remember, there is more to life than being stick thin,your unique as a person, ever thought people look at you and want what you have...............

its good to eat a balanced diet meal. taking measurement of hips if over 100cm , waist over 74cm and bust over 95 cm means that you are over weight and not scales as muscles weigh more than fat so your weight will be more if you are sporty built which is healthy.Eating two apples with a balanced meal is more appropriate n not plain apple diet.

Don't do it!

There are right and wrong ways of losing wieght - this is a wrong one. If your body doesn't get what it needs then it starts to lay down fat to use as resources, by pretty much starving yourself you may end up being bigger than you have begun or making yourself ill. If you starve yourself for long your body will start to shut down and you will eventually cause problems that are unresolvable.#

A better option if you are serious about losing wieght is to always have breakfast as this kick starts your metablolism and helps you burn off food quicker, drink plenty water, to aid you going to the toilet and have a balanced diet. Exercise will also help but don't over do it, just walking the dog everyday can work wanders. You will be much happier, I promise.

hey - dont do it! i tried the same thing with diet coke and just got sick over time. increase your fiber intake to around 50g per day. only eat fibre and do exercise. you'll lose weight fast and have a full belly without cravings. i weigh 9 st too, i was 9.7 and lost 7lbs in a month just by using this method. do it safe and the effects will last, 2 apples a day will destroy your metabolism and make you weak and unhappy. good luck :)

DESPERATE MEASURES!!!

Honey,Losing weight is NOT starving, but, burning more calories than you consume.

Start exercising and EAT IN MODERATION.

Include lots of fresh fruits and vegetables.

PS: Am not talking bout FAD diets.

If you aren't so patient to lose weight,continue with ur 2-apples-a-day diet till u can.u'll b sorry for whatever health risks u r subjecting urself to latr.

my strongest advice is not to do this as it doesntwork! I know this may sound daunting, but basically this isnt going to help you lose weight!Wha it actually do is give yousmelly breath and youwill become more proned to binge on high fat foods. You are just going to have to work hard by exercising and eating healthy and believe me as a recovering anorexic it does pay off to do things properly and healthy!

Hello the answer to that question is no, u should not eat only two apples a day and thats it. I've tried the same thing about 4 months ago. I would drink lots of water and eat about 4 apples a day and that was it. I stuck to it too for about a week. Then all of a sudden i started to feel sick and weak. Yea, i was losing weight. I had lost about 3 lbs in that full week but my mother told me that i wasn't gettin enough calories and all the vitamins i needed and thats not good for you. She told me the best thing to do is just cut back on what u eat. For example if u usually eat about 4 slices of pizza, for now on just have 2 slices. So just cut back on what you eat and of course exercise 3-5 days a week and drink lots of water.

not so down with love agony auntSTOP starving your self is not the answer to losing weight once a while ago my best freind talked me in to trying a new diet.

it was to not eat or sleep for 60 hour and only drink water it sounded harmless enough so i went along with it. youv got to understand though i was young andgullable.

i put on weight as my motabilism was not able to kick start and i was throwing up on a regular basis maybe every 2-3 hours

so the point im trying to make is im 9 stone now and i couldnt be happier. i can wear more stylish and swanky clothes as i have curves in the right places as im sure you do. except your weight then youll begin to see the benifits.

You do know you are starving yourself right???

This is the WRONG way to loose weight. Your body will start eating itself to give you the energy you need. Then you'll be loosing muscle weight not fat! Trust me. I starved myself as a teen and nearly died because of it!

Best thing to do is find a low fat/sugar diet. Eat a healthy cereal or toast for breakfast, healthy snadwich for lucnh then a non fatty dinner.

Have a chat with your doctor about your weight. They can tell you the best weight for your height and stuff and also help with the best way to loose weight!

Do not go on only eating two apples a day!

supersquirrel agony auntthat is ridiculous!! i'm the same weight as you, and i absolutely love my body, and i know the guys do to.. curvy is the most attractive way to be. if you're unhappy then maybe exercise and get toned up instead of trying to lose it all..

3 meals a day of HEALTHY food (and some healthy snacks in between are encouraged) and plenty of exercise to keep you toned but curvy.

only 2 apples is a very unhealthy diet.

a girl at my school was a size 10 (around 9 stone) and she decided she was too fat, so she exercised and dieted until she was a size 0... now she's shapeless and flat and just skin and bones. there is nothing attractive about her body now, her clothes look like they're being worn by a skeleton, yet because the media publicises this skinny model appearance, everyone seems to think this is the right way to be? loads of girls strive to lose their curves because of these models, and they come out of it with so many problems: anorexia, bulemia, failing organs (starting with reproductive ones), acne, inability to concentrate and others.

love your curves, tone them - don't lose them!

Im a naturally slim person and i would do absolutly anything to put weight on! I would love to be your weight but i realise it just isnt going to happen!

To be honest with you i think that eating 2 apples a day is really silly even though you may lose weight and at first you think it looks good but after a while you will look horrible.

If you are really determined to lose weight as a fitness instructor i know that a balanced diet and 60mins exercise per day is the best way.

Why do you hate your body?

Is it because you see images in mags, or other people are on at you?

Your body does everthing for you, so why deprive it!

Yes, you will lose weight, but not in a very nice way, because your body will punish you for this starvation. So please take the other posts to your heart!

If you want to keep a nice weight for your size and age, go to see a nutritionist. She can work out the perfect diet for you. And also look you do some exercise. For healthy exercise you will need some extra calories so you will get nice and strong muscles. Muscles give you more weight than adipose tissue and also burn more calories (so you will need to eat enough), but look much nicer - but try to not look like a bodybuildner. So don't carry it ot excess. Women with too much muscles look horrible! But so do also women which only look like a dummy with limp skin on their bones.

If you don't eat enoug and loos weight to fast and in a unhealthy way, this will have serious consequences:

- you will not be able to concentrate on your work

- you will not be fit enough to do heathy exercise

- your body will start to selfdegrade because of malnutrition and this will give you serious health problems which are irreversible

- your period will get irregular and maybe stopp and if it stopps there is a great risk that you will never be able to have your own childrens one day.

This are just a few consequenses of loss in weight, there are much more and they will afect your body health for the rest of your life.

So I recommend you to go and see a nutritionist or a docter and follow her instructions.

i might be a girl but i can help agony auntyou are at an healthy weight if you hate you body you may need to go counselling to be able to accept yourself. if you want to maintain your body weight you can exercise at least 30 mintues a day. eat healthy foods and at least three meals. but please don't just eat two apples a day. its not healthy and yes the weight will drop off but as soon as you start eating normally you may end up putting all the weight back on but this is not an excuse to strave yourself. so please if you think you are fat can you go see your doctor or go counselling.

DO NOT DO THIS!! Really read some of the other posts here. There is a lot of good sense in them. I am not certain how the British weigh system works but everyone here is telling you that you are at a good weight for your height...so take heed and listen to them.

You will probably lose weight but will not be attractive for the simple fact that you are denying your body the protein that it needs. Get active and eat the right foods...rice, fish, chicken ect. I am sure you know all this but are choosing to take a short cut except there is no shortcut.

Titanic star Kate Winslet has said many times that she is angry at the way young girls feel they have to be a size 3 to be attractive...guys like girls with curves...so my dear it is time for you to accept and believe in yourself as you are. Ps...never liked apples much anyway.

You, need atleast 1200 calories to lose weight, otherwise your body goes into starvation mode & stores fat in your belly.

Some anorexics lose weight not eating but they cause their kidneys to fail, plus other organs & unfortunately sometimes end up having heart attacks (people forget about their internal organs when they dont eat properly)

Go on the web site sparkpeople.com & look at the forums. Lots of advice on there about the best way to lose weight & its free to join.

At your age, the weight that you are is perfect.

Do you have a problem seeing yourself in the mirror or have people said things to you to make you feel this way.

Yes eating only two apples a day will make you lose weight quickly and at the same time it will shrink your stomach and then you will start to have problems when you start eating properly again, you will lose energy and this will start effecting your health and if you carry on this this it could eventually kill you.

Sorry to be so blunt about this but you need to realise the fatal consequences not eating properly can have on you and in turn everyone around you.

If you feel that bad about your body which you should not, then i would suggest talking to your parents and getting them to take you to see your doctor and talking to them about it.

Please think this through very carefully.

penta agony auntNo. Your body will assume you are starving and it will stop burning calories as efficiently -- it will slow down your metabolism. And then you'll feel deprived and you'll cheat, and the calories from whatever else you eat won't be burned either.

Don't starve yourself. Eat three small meals and 2 healthy snacks every day, and exercise moderately. Emphasis on vegetables, fruits, lean meats and eggs. If you don't feel deprived, you won't feel like you'll need to cheat.

There's a really great diet called the "Fat Flush" plan (http://www.annlouise.com/FatFlushPlan.asp); I lost 25 pounds in 3 months. But better than that, it's especially healthy and I FELT better.

yes you will drop some weight. But remember that just because you shrink in size doesn't mean you are going to be toned and shapely or even healthy. If you do it that way, you are going to end up with your exact same body a little bit smaller.

But you might also give yourself a headache and feel faint from lack of other foods you need such as protein.

But hey you know what is a great food to burn fat...its yogurt. You have other options besides the apple diet. Your best option is to eat a well balanced diet and do lots of exercise (and you will still lose weight but your body will take a better shape). Or you could do the apple diet and lose some weight but be really out of shape.

Basschick agony auntI suspect you won't survive on 2 apples a day for very long because your body needs protein, a few carbohydrates along with other nutrients to avoid feeling zapped. You may get away with this for a few days, but then you're going to start feeling the effects of the starvation. I recommend you just cut back on all your portions but continue to have 3 meals a day, just cut out sugar and fried foods and things like gravy and fatty sauces and then eat only 1/2 of your servings. You could also try eating Lean Cuisine meals instead of regular food, which have less calories, or join Nutrisystem. Their foods are balanced so you can survive on 1000 calories a day without feeling like you're going to pass out. Good luck.

try wearing different clothes that make u look slimmer if it really is a problem....
