What are some visual characteristics that get guys attention in a good way? Such as clothing, hair, make-up etc.

What are guys attracted to? more skin/ hair down-up etc.

I know to be myself... just asking for opinions that can help.. that I might not have thought of yet

A female reader, Susan Walsh United States +, writes (5 January 2009):

It's a matter of biology: guys are attracted to youth and health because it connotes fertility. So: shiny, long hair, healthy glow on cheeks, just enough makeup to enhance natural beauty, a fit body. Add a smile and you're there.

Danielepew agony auntDyes are a turn-off when the woman "makes mistakes" in choosing the color. Please, no one take offense, but a dark-skinned woman, for example, should stay away from blond dyes. At least that's my opinion. And then senior ladies who we all know as brunettes should not come to their jobs one day with an "unnatural" red.

Glasses are not important. I don't think they are a turn-off or on. Maybe I say this because I wear glasses since I was five.

Natural redhead is great.

A male reader, james_2008 United Kingdom +, writes (13 December 2008):

For me, its a smile and caring / kind eyes.

Masses of make up just looks wrong, a little or none is OK, but I know how women feel lost without it.

Glasses . hairsyle, etc everyone has preferences so they're all not important.

One thing i think is clear, personality counts :)

A female reader, SirenaBlusera Mexico +, writes (13 December 2008):

SirenaBlusera agony auntSuresheexists,

I don't know about all women but I hate how I look with short hair.

When people ask me when I'm gonna cut my hair, I just say, "When I grow a Y chromosome."

As long as I have two XX chromosomes I'm keeping my hair.

Even though it's probably gonna be grey by the end of the semester. I used to be a natural redhead *sigh*...

Oh well, I guess there's worse things...

A reader, anonymous, writes (13 December 2008):

How to impress the guy?

Beautiful smile

(Long)wild hair (personally I dislike short hair for women, only a very few beautiful women look also great with short hair)

Tight cloths

Always high heels (even to the beach), be able to run on them (be sure you can walk on them, or learn it quickly)

know how to walk and turn your bud

Shoulders to the back, tits to the front

Able to wisper after 2 seconds deep eye contact...

Follow a quick course bally dancing (or samba) during your holiday and after the holiday break give little show for your friends, when he is (accidentally) sitting 3 meters from you...

But don't forget to be yourself, your personality is the most important thing and always keep your dignity.

SirenaBlusera agony auntI never want to cut my hair, though... I hate it when people ask me if I'm ever going to get short haircut. I hate it when "metiches" tell me what to do with my hair... why can't they just live and let live... :(

SirenaBlusera agony auntAs a matter of interest, how do guys feel about glasses?

I have seen many men who look handsome with them (without them as well) but they're just not me... I feel insecure about them. I can handle an honest answer because I really just need to know!

I have contact lenses as well, but I don't wear them to school very often.

SirenaBlusera agony auntVa bene, Daniel :)

As a matter of interest, how big of a turnoff are dyes?

I've colored my hair a lot. I teach school, so if I were to let it grow out, it would probably be grey all over. Oh man, I better be careful what I say online, the internet nazis are getting more "metiche" by the minute...

SirenaBlusera agony auntI feel naked without at least some makeup. I think that a lot of it depends on the culture. In USA it seems like relatively few women wear makeup, just an observation and no offense to anyone.

A male reader, tux United States +, writes (12 December 2008):

tux agony auntWell perhaps you can get a list and find the averages of everything, because guys are different..

Some guys want girls to dress in sexy dresses and pile makeup on their faces..

other guys just want someone more down-to-earth and simple looking..

But as far as my list goes.

1. face

2. personality

3. butt (a nice good grabbable one.. :) )

4. pelvic area & hips

5. demeanor

6. lack of makeup..

last on my list is breasts...

Despite popular belief, massive boobs are not beautiful, they're freaky. Give me a 36B any day in preference to a 38GG or bigger.

A female reader, samsmommy United States +, writes (12 December 2008):

samsmommy agony auntYou might have been hoping for a guys perspective on this, so sorry, can't help you there ;) but I think every guy is different, I have this really good friend that hates it when girls wear makeup, he wants them to be natural. And trust me, he is a VERY cute guy lol. So I mean it really all depends on the guy.

Hope I helped, at least a little :)
