 It depends on the girl. I say try it. How short are you talking? I like short hair, but I also like having something to grab.

Depends on your face shape. If you have a softer rounder face than short hair works. If you have thin sharp features don't do it.

All depends. Some girls rock short hairdo's. A friend of mine looks fantastic with it while another looks like a boy. So it really depends on your face and how you present yourself. I would look around for several cuts, maybe try out that software that lets you see how a certain haircut would look on you. Bring in pics to the hairdresser so he/she knows exactly what you're going for. That way you'll have the most chance to get a cut you're happy with and that's what matters.
I think coming across as comfortable with yourself is a lot more attractive for guys than a model-like girl with hunched shoulders and the deer-in-headlights look in her eyes.

If you want to do it, then do it. Whilst guys will judge on appearance, the good ones do understand that there is more to a woman than just that. So if you want to cut your hair short, then cut it short. If you don't like the style after that, or think that it was a mistake, it will grow back. No big deal at all.
