It's not normal, but it's your body. You're going to have to accept that you're going to get treated oddly for going entirely bald, but as long as you leave the hair inside your nose and your eyelashes, you should be fine. Lots of men shave their head bald, so it's only fashion that stops women.

Basschick agony auntIt doesn't matter what others think. What do you think when you look in the mirror? I admit, it is unusual behavior but if you like it, then it really doesn't matter. On the other hand, I worry that you are doing a bit of self-destruction. There are women who do terrible things to themselves, like pulling out their hair (literally) and it comes from a not-so-nice place in their pschye. If you feel sad when you look in the mirror and see what you've done to yourself, you may need counseling to figure out why you are destroying your looks like this. Hopefully it's not an extreme measure to get attention because people may think you need help.

A female reader, Country Woman United Kingdom +, writes (31 July 2007):

Country Woman agony auntI think your obsession with shaving every hair on your body is not the norm here.

You say that you love the feeling of the razor against your skin, that is slightly worrying and I think it would be good to go and talk to your doctor in confidence about this.

Shaving your pubs is up to you but believe me when they grow back very stubby it can be murder as you probably already know. Don't do this shaving for your bf, the eyebrows will also grow back really stubbly and this could be really awful later on when you are older. Most women shave their legs and armpits and that is just being a woman so that is perfectly normal.

I once shaved my arms because I thought it would be nice to be clean but I was extremely fair skinned and the hairs hardly showed at all but then my bf said what the hell are you doing and I stopped it as they grew back stubbly and much darker, the more you shave the darker the hair will get.

Do think about what you are doing, do you want to look different, and why is that if you do?

Do you have things going on at home that affect the way you look at yourself?

Sweetheart just keep the legs and armpits right now and go and talk to your doctor about the reasons behind all of this.

When we are born as babies, we come into the world with small hairs all over our body and unless you have a dark moustache over your top lip I don't see what is the problem with hairs on the rest of your body and your hair, we can style it differently when we have hair so bear that in mind eh!

Take care and please go and talk to someone.

bubbloo24 agony auntErm... I'm not sure this is a healthy habit. I think you might need to go and speak to someone. I'm not saying you're crazy or anything like that but I think this is becoming a bit obsessive.

Do what you feel like doing with your hair. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks but I'd suggest you stop the eyebrow and eye lash shaving and things because you will seem to be ill as their are illnesses where your hair on your body does fall out and I don't think you want to look like that.

Take care xx

The beauty of a woman is in her hair. and the removal of her hair takes away from that beauty. It really doesn't matter if that hair is on her head or below her navel.Your hair is much like a lubricant in the area's of You body that have lots of normal friction when you move I would see someone who goes to your extreme as really not liking themselves or someone who is starved for attention, But I guess you got that from your Dad. There are much better ways to say, "Here I'm". So keep you hair on,and "YES" you are beautyful.
