writes:Is it weird that I keep crushing on guys with the same first name? I'm fairly sure it's just co-incidence but has anyone else ever found the same thing happening to them? There are two guys that I have fancied for a few a years and they are both called Alex. I am also drawn to characters in tv dramas with that name. I'm probably being completely nutty but this keeps happening. Yesterday I discovered my favourite actor was playing a character called Alex in a recent tv show! Am i going crazy or is this sounding familiar to anyone?

 It's a pretty common name, and I think it's a pretty common situation. One of my friends ends up dating guys called Josh, and in high school I dated an number of Nicks.I also found when I was in high school I often attached significance to trends and patterns like that, that I later came to realise didn't mean anything :P

I knew a girl who was very interested in me for MANY years..Nothing ever happened (the age gap was a bit extreme, especially when we first met thru work)..Then one day she calls me up and tells me she's dating a guy with the same last name as me, and she blurts out "Now i have 2 RAMJET (ramjet subbing for my last name :P) men in my life, and i love them both!That always creeped me out a bit. My last name is not a common one. I am positive the reason she got with this guy was because of visions she had of being my Mrs. Ramjet.A couple months back i ran into her again.. She'd been with this guy for a couple years now, and i was MARRIED, and she hinted to me that the window was still there if i wanted to get with her.So i've never heard of anyone having a first name fetish, but i'm almost positive i know someone with a last name fetish :\ .

 hmm its a pretti common name so i wouldnt worry bout it. Itd be diffret if so many people dnt have it.
But if it is a name crush as your saying thn it may have to do with a guy or character that you found very speical.

 Hmmm, well, I went through a Nate spell. I dated three of them in a row! It was crazy. I didn't mean to, it just coincidentally happened!
So, I think that it started as just a coincidence, and now that you're aware of it, you keep noticing attractive Alex's! I don't think that you're weird or crazy or anything... just don't end up dating Alex Trebek. He's kind of old for you.
