A female Ireland age 41-50, anonymous writes:

i just split up with my boyfriend, he suffers from panic attacks and is bi-polar, he always does things when i break up with him, like do pills, panic, go out looking for fights, things like that. the problem is, his daughter is staying with him for a week and i'm scared he's going to do something, i know he'd never hurt her but i'm just scared about how he's gonna look after a 4 year old while going mental. :( what should i do?

A female reader, Tisha-1 United States +, writes (23 July 2009):

Tisha-1 agony auntCould you make sure the child's mother is aware of this sitution? This isn't time to stand on the sidelines hoping nothing will happen. There is no cosmic 'undo' button. If anything happens to the child, you will regret this for the rest of your life. The child's safety must be paramount.

Contact the child's mother and your ex's parents as well to let them know about your concern.

Please, swallow any pride or embarassment; you can live with that later.

Good luck.
