ok im going to agree with mrs lion here, i know she is to young and she knows that to, but lets be reasonble here she wants advice and not a whole lot of letters screaming at her about how young she is..
so first things first time to get checked and start using protection. its as simple as that, if you wish to carry on this sexual realtionship you have then you need to be safe.
is sex what you really want right now? do you just want to feel loved? if so try being inimate with ur bf but not having sex.
ok you probably havnt settled into ur period cycle yet and that might be the reason but you might just have been very very lucky. time to be mature about this and be safe ok?
you need to think about what is the right thing to do here, as you are young and have a whole wonderfu life ahead of you. there is plenty of time to have sex in the future do you need to know? i know that my mum told me i couldnt till i was atleast 16 or older what does your mum say? has she talked to you at all on the subject?
all the best, be safe.

You are 13! Way to young to be having a sexual relationship! I told my daughter that she was allowed to start having sexual intercourse at the age of 16. I talked her through it and she admitted she had tried it once before at the age of 15, but not 13!
Im not going to be nice about this. You are being totally irresponsable, wreckless and a bit sluttish!
Does your mum know that you are having sex? Talk to her if she doesnt, but if she does, she is less responsable than my 2 year old daughter!

No, Mrs. Lion, please let's not be nice. Being nice and politically correct and accepting and tolerant is probably a big contributing factor to the number of teen pregnancies in USA which is shocking for a civilized society, with massive social and psychological costs for the whole nation.
Let's say it loud and clear , instead : being sexually active at 13 is wrong, dangerous, selfish, reckless and irresponsible. Being sexually active at 13 without using protection is all of the above , plus just plain dumb.
No need for sugarcoating the ( contracceptive ) pill.

Sigh* Lets be nice about this. She's asking for advice, not for people to call her stupid.
Look, start having sex with condoms, it doesn't feel ANY worse, in fact the ribbed ones feel very nice, and its only 7 dollars for a box of 12.
Go get checked asap, I don't care if you don't want to tell your parents get your "partner" and if he's old enough get him to take you, its ridiculous if he's older than you and didn't atleast have the thought to "pull out" which hardly ever works either. I was sexually active at a younger age also and yea it feels amazing, but really unless your protected... just masterbate, or tell him you only want outer sex such as oral or fingering. ( you can still contract STDs through oral though)

Well, you are 13 !
Why the hell are you having sex !
And are you on your period? Because if you arent then obviously you wont get pregnant !
And stop being an idiot and ruining your life !

That's actually wrong, you can start releasing eggs before your periods start as your body settles into a cycle, at your age its the perfect time for this to happen so what ever you do dont take this as an excuse not to protect yourself!!

Pardon me, but...
- if you know you are waaaaaay too young to have sex, WHY do you have sex.
- if you don't want to get pregnant, WHY do you keep having unprotected sex. A pack of condom is not that expensive,is it ?

Stop being an absolute IDIOT and keep it in your pants until you grow up, mature and respect yourself a little more.

Great plan there! Way to show us how bright the future of this country is.

A
reader, anonymous, writes (8 February 2011): Actually there is every chance it does mean that. Now the other posters are telling you from the point of view that you're probably fertile and probably just lucky so far.
But there is every possibility that you have contracted chlamidia or other symptomless STI and that you will become infertile from that. Let me make this clear to you OP, there are a lot of STI's that don't have symptoms but if left untreated mean you will never be able to have kids and some, if left untreated can actually lead to very serious illness.
So it's like this OP you could turn out to have a hard time of life like Victory202 by getting pregnant young or you could easily have a disease already or get one that means you can never have kids.
You really are being stupid about this, you shouldn't have sex because you have no idea how to protect yourself properly. You have to go get tested for STI's as soon as possible and it doesn't matter if he says he's clean because he's obviously too stupid or selfish to use a condom anyway, so his word is worthless.
Go get tested and soon, you need to seriously reconsider if having sex is right for you, you don't even call him your boyfriend and you're only 13. Getting pregnant is very dangerous at your age too.

Have you started having your period yet? If you haven't, you can't get pregnant. And even if you have, at your age, your ovulation cycle is most likely not regular or mature yet. Also, many things affect your ability to get pregnant: your age, health, etc. At a young age, it's more likely to have more early miscarriages as well.
And how long have you been having unprotected sex and not gotten pregnant? Because it's fairly common for people to be having unprotected sex for over a year before they get pregnant.
Please stop having unprotected sex. The chances are quite high that you will be able to have children in the future. When you are ready to try having babies, you can talk to a doctor about what you should be doing to prepare. And if you find you are not able to get pregnant THEN (after many months), you and your partner should get tested to see if there are any problems.

A

Regardless of whether you think you can't have kids because you haven't got pregnant so far, you are being incredible silly and clearly should have got more information before you started having sex at such a young age.

No it does not mean that, it means you've probably been dodging bullets all this while. Please stop this high-risk behaviour immediately. If you must have sex (and you should not be), please use protection.

Ignoring the fact that you really should be using protection anyway, and waiting a few more years, there are a few reasons why you have been lucky enough not to be pregnant yet:Have you properly started your periods yet? Before that happens you wouldn't be able to get pregnant anyway (unless sex occurs close enough to your first period)Males can be infertile too, so it is not necessarily your biology if that is what you're thinking. It can take many attempts for even fertile couples to get pregnant, even when they're trying for a baby every day. Don't assume that just because it hasn't happened yet that it won't happen. Waiting until you get pregnant just to see if you can get pregnant at 13 is really not the way to go about checking. Chances are you can have children and you will get pregnant unless you use protection. Having unprotected sex also leaves you open to so many sexual diseases, which you really don't want to have to deal with! Some of these like chlamydia do not necessarily give you any symptoms and actually can end up leaving you unable to have children when you are ready for them. Please be careful - if you don't want to get pregnant right now then start using condoms every time, or stop having sex. You don't want to become another teenage pregnancy statistic, and by asking for help I can see that you're clearly smarter than that!
