A reader, anonymous, writes (3 November 2010):

I regret not waiting for somebody who i cared about, or cared about me. It meant nothing and was nothing. I had just turned 18 and i think i fall into peer pressure.

Now being older, i realise how sex actually means something when you are with the person you love and care about.

Wait until your ready. You wont regret waiting.

A female reader, mervy Australia +, writes (3 November 2010):

mervy agony auntIt was very relaxed, and I felt really safe. I'd been trying to wait for 'the right time' for weeks, and one night just said, 'what the heck, let's do it'!

I waited until I knew I was in love with my boyfriend (he was already in love with me), and I did my research. I made sure I was 100% sure that it was what I wanted. In some ways, it was a let down, because I'd hyped it up to be the most important thing in the world, when realistically it was just a natural progression in our relationship - which was good! I was glad that I didn't think it was a super big deal.

A male reader, The Realist Canada +, writes (3 November 2010):

The Realist agony auntMy first time was in a car so it was kinda cramped. It was good but i was really nervous and it wasn't so much about the sex itself but the feelings that were there when it was going on. Looking back it was a good experience and after that sex was far less awkward. I don't reccomend just losing it to anyone but if there is someone special, and I don't mean life long thing but someone who means alot to you now then it should be a great experience. As long as you two care about each other it will be great but don't go into it expecting it to be magical, just try to have fun with it so its something you will always have a positive memory about.

A female reader, WhateverMovesThee United States +, writes (3 November 2010):

WhateverMovesThee agony auntIt really sucked. I didn't start loving the guy til a long time after...I felt terrible, guilty and wish I had been more ready. I didn't enjoy myself at all but, it got better as I started the fall for the man. So hon, make sure you're in love first and make sure the guy cares enough for you to make it great.

A male reader, dirtball United States +, writes (2 November 2010):

dirtball agony auntMine was good. We went for about 2 hours before we stopped. I didn't orgasm, but we tried a bunch of different positions and generally had a wonderful evening.

Every time I hear the song that was playing I think of that time. I loved the girl very much, but grew to hate her over the course of our relationship. Still, I've never been so sexually compatable with anyone, so maybe there was something there.

A female reader, Moo's Mum New Zealand +, writes (2 November 2010):

Moo's Mum agony auntIt was great! Exciting, exhilirating and passionate, but I hasten to add that it was with someone I had known for a long time and loved very much. I was 17 and we were together for over 3 years and loved each other to distraction. Personally I don't believe in causal sex I think it's better when you are in love.

Remember virginity is a gift so give it to someone worthy and who will treasure it for you! :-)
