A male Argentina age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Sometimes when I'm kissing a girl or holding her close, I'll start to get an erection. I know it's normal but sometimes I feel a bit embarrased. Is this disgusting for girls? Should I try to hide it?

So_Very_Confused agony auntah yes but hugging a friend means hips don't touch so who would know...

I mean i never hug male friends with more than a lean your shoulders in kind of hug... full body hugs are reserved for my partner.

AuntyAlexxmo agony auntAgree with most answers, it is totally normal and if it wish a long term girlfriend or sexual partner it is more likely to be a turn off than turn off.

If it is not a girlfriend or a new partner then just try not to make it obvious.

A female reader, Miamine United Kingdom +, writes (24 December 2011):

Miamine agony auntIf she's your girlfriend, or a girl your kissing and making out with, then an having an erection compliments her and tells her you think she's sexy. Just don't push it into her stomach. If she wants to feel you more, she will move closer.

If it's some strange girl your holding, like when your dancing at a club or something. An erection is rude and irritating. Not keen on people hiding things, especially natural things they cannot control. All you need to do in this situation, is move back and hold her lightly so she cannot feel your body.

An erection is not wicked or bad, that's like me saying my nose is bad because it starts to sneeze. But sometimes a sneeze is impolite like when I'm at a concert, and I may have to go outside because I don't want to disturb anyone.

HippyChick agony auntNo, it's not disgusting, it's the most natural thing in the world. A man kisses a woman, he gets turned on, it's what keeps this world of ours going.

As long as it isn't the first time you are kissing her as it might feel a bit weird for her and she might worry you want to take things further, but once you know a girl then no worries she can take it as compliment!

A female reader, bluecow United Kingdom +, writes (23 December 2011):

bluecow agony auntPerfectly normal, and no I dont think any girl would be discusted by it.

If you have only just started seeing someone I wouldnt go drawing attention to it until your both ready to take the kissing a step further... I also wouldnt go shouting about it - especially if your in a public place... but most girls would be flattered. What better sign of how interested (at least sexually) you are is there?
