writes:I'm 22 years old, less than five feet tall. i am as pretty as any other girl and healthily thin so will any guy be interested in me?its not my fault or anyone else's why i am the way i am. I'm in college for 2 years and no boy has even dared talked to me in that way. Are all men after tall women??? Reply to this Question

I always think it is the other way around! I am very tall for a woman and it seems like that is a turn off to many guys! I'm 5'11 and I feel like guys don't find me attractive because I'm taller or near the same height as them.

reader, anonymous, writes (18 April 2011): Why don't you make the first move on whatever guy you fancy?! Most taller guys prefer shorter girls your size so you shouldn't have any problems. In fact, short girls often get first choice of all the eligible guys in any social setting because western culture deems you as the most desirable of all women. Maybe you're just too pretty and good-looking so guys are naturally intimidated by you. We all have this fear of rejection. I will say this, some short guys like my 5'5 self don't even bother with hot short girls like you because 9 times outta 10, you reject us in favour of the guy who's 6'0 or more. So by that rationale, step up to the plate and make a move on a guy you like. Not all guys feel that women who take the iniative are slutty or easy. It shouldn't always be the guy who makes the first move anyways.

If I am brutally honest if I had a choice of height for the same girl they would be between 4 foot 7 Ish and 5 foot 4 Ish. I think smaller women are sexy. I am 5 ft 11 myself and 14 so I expect to be maybe 6 ft 2 or 3 when I'm older. The thought of a girlfriend being almost my height would creep me out. Smaller woman are cute and the mam can pick them up romantically more. Just think one your wedding day instead of just kissing your man he can lift you off your feet and kiss you much more passionately and romantically.

I've dated a woman who was 5 feet, and a woman who was nearly 6 feet. The height had nothing to do with it. It won't for most in really. My girlfriend of 2 years is 5 feet 4", so she's not that tall really. But I don't care about that. A guy would have to be a bit shallow just to judge you on your height.

Well I have 2 friends that are both 4ft 10. In college one had a couple of boyfriends, one of which she ended up marrying a few years later and now has 2 kids with. The other would usually have a new boyfriend every few months....not that I'm saying this is a good way to go about things but neither of them had any trouble attracting men.
They are both quite confident though and had no problems going up and talking to guys. Even if it just started as friendly chat, sometimes they would have something in common and it would lead to a relationship. So if you haven't already go up and start chatting, be approachable.

I like being with smaller women in height cause I like to protect them and have them trust me to watch out for them and be their bodyguard lol. Youll find a guy who is interested, dont worry ;)

For all they know, you might be one of those 14 year old geniuses, and afraid to approach you for the very reason you might just be a minor.
You might also look very young, and the guy's that do know your age, may fear looking like a pedophile.
(I'm only guessing)
There's a woman in the town I used to live in, who to me, looked like she was 12 or so years old. I would guess she was about 4ft 8ins. I eventually found out she was actually 32.
I guess the only thing you can do is to try to expand your circle of friends, and through them, you may find dating much easier.

I personally love short women. Im 6" and am always attracted to shorter women. If a woman is too tall it can become intimidating. But I just have always dated shorter women and always will, something about it really attracts me to them. I think its because it makes them cute. I am a man that likes to have a girlfriend who he wants to protect. Shorter women have a certain vibe that they need protection. If you just be cute and make it a point to talk to men you will find someone like me I guarantee it. Unless you are a bitch haha jk I know you aren't.

As a small girl myself (5'2 and 94 pounds) all i can say is that most boys happen to love short girls as they think we are adorable and filled with all around cuteness; Personally i am dateing a short guy at the moment (5'5 or 5'6 tops) but i have some tall boyfriends before and its not an issue at all, in fact it makes them feel more masquline.
so maybe you are just intimidateing boys with your superior good looks and charm ;)
