Hi All,

I'm just a regular guy (is there such a thing? hahaha) from the UK who is currently laying the remains of a 10 year marriage to rest, having come out of the other side wiser, stronger and far more accepting of people and the world we live in.

None of us are perfect, present company DEFINITELY included, but I have come on here to try and help others through their own dilemmas so that they do not have to endure what I did for so many years and that is to battle alone with the ups and downs of life.

If I can help someone even in a small way, then I have achieved my goal. I don't profess to be an expert in any field other than in my own life experiences and I will relate to these wherever and whenever I can.

Forgiveness, understanding and compassion are my standpoints all served up with a good dose of faith in God and the wonders of the world about us.

If I can help you in any way, just ask and I will do what I can.

Q.   I want just to forget my first love because she is getting married! What can I do please help me? ...

A.   29 October 2008: Our first loves always hold a special place in our hearts, without exception. However, as we grow older, so does our outlook on life. Our needs, desires and what we expect out of life also change at the same time, although the rate of change i... (read in full...)

Q.   I am having a problem with my relationship, me and my boyfriend argue all the time. He got sacked from his job 4 months ago. We have been together for nearly a year but he used to work abroad so I only seen him for weeks at a time. Anyhows after ...

A.   29 October 2008: Oh hon, I am so sorry. Sounds like the practical and honest approach isn't washing with this guy. I am staggered that he cannot see this situation for what it is and how serious it is! If he cannot see how this will ultimately end, then I thin... (read in full...)

A.   28 October 2008: Sounds like you DO have a genuine medical complaint here called phimosis which is an abnormal tightening of the foreskin which prevents it from being pulled down over the glans. Phimosis, if left untreated, CAN cause inflammation problems which t... (read in full...)

A.   28 October 2008: Unfortunately, the timing and the frequency of the calls suggests something other than advice on buying a house. I think you need to challenge him with these facts - if he has a plausible explanation, I'd like to see him talk his way out of it. ... (read in full...)

A.   28 October 2008: I agree! This guy needs to wake up and smell the coffee. He seems to have his head stuck in the clouds here and needs a reality check. I think you need to lay it on the line that certain lifestyles can only be maintained with a proper cashflow... (read in full...)

My boyfriend finds me unattractive because of my small boobs and thin body structure...

A.   24 October 2008: I totally agree with everyone else. You are who you are. If your boyfriend cannot accept you for the way you are and is criticising your appearance, then he doesn't deserve to be with you. This does smack of an underlying issue and the fact tha... (read in full...)

I am so angry and frustated about being ignored by someone I genuinly care about.

A.   24 October 2008: Hiya, At the end of the day, it is all too easy to blame ourselves or find fault in what we do when we express or pour out hearfelt feelings and emotions which are not reciprocated. It is a natural reaction. WE feel one way and naturall... (read in full...)

He lives so far away... will this work or should I move on?

Q.   So I met this guy online, and we both really like each other, but we both live so far. I'm not sure how to make this work, so I'm just wondering if I should just move on or keep on talking to him and see what will happen?...

A.   23 October 2008: Hiya, Ok, first of all, it is really difficult (read: virtually IMPOSSIBLE) to get the measure of a person you meet online. A computer screen is no substitute for being there face-to-face with someone. It's all too easy to hide behind a screen a... (read in full...)
