writes: How many people like me still a virgin? I mean as far as age goes..I'm not ashamed of it but here where I live there's very few girls who remain virgins. Reason being I just haven't found the right guy yet. I also wonder do guys usually like virgins? Or does the inocence drive them away?

there is nothing wrong with being a virgin at 19, it's rare to find someone who wants to wait untill they meet the rite person, there is no rush at the end of the day.

I REALLY apreciate the advice almasdp, thank you. And TasteofIndia, I hope my situation will go as well as urs!! That's practically my dream to find the right man to give it to, may sound cheesy, but true. Unlike my biological mother(someone I don't get along with)and who had me at the age of 16, has always told me that I would turn out the same way as she did,(good thing my grandparents addopted me as a baby). I have proven her wrong and hope to continue to stay a virgin until the time is right. Everyone else who had postive answers, thanks, you all have been a great help. Any more answers or opinions welcome.

I was a virgin at 19. I held out waiting for a special guy. I didn't know what exactly or who exactly I was looking for, but I always knew I was waiting for SOMEONE. Do guys like virgins? If we're just talking about sex, YES. But that shouldn't be your question, ever. You should wait for a guy to like YOU. Your sexual status doesn't matter. And hey, any guy who is excited to be dating you of course will feel honored to be your first. It's a great gift to be given.
Don't stress about it. You've been smart, so keep being smart and listening to your heart, brain and body. A guy will be thrilled to have you, innocent or not. And being a virgin shows how classy, worthy and smart you are.

Guys almost always prefer less experienced girls. Being a girl's first partner is only a possible problem just because some guys are scared of you getting too attached too fast, and they sometimes feel guilty because they were really only after a bit of fun with you. But that's not a problem if you are with any serious BF. It's more like a problem when you're just starting out with a guy and/or he's not serious about ever getting into a committed relationship with you.
The older you get, the more you will discover that guys are starting to really prize less sexually experienced women. Eventually most women have had dozens of men and few men really like to be that far down on any woman's list. Men stop wanting bad girls and start wanting nice girls to settle down with, just like women do with nice guys.

 Many of my friends back in college were virgins at your age...absolutely nothing wrong with that. Don't compare yourself with anyone else, you are you.
As to whether guys like virgins? That depends. The guys who are only looking for sex won't usually bother with a virgin...they want a quick fix. The guys who want more than just sex, the guys who want to get to know you, it won't matter to them one bit if you're a virgin or not. Just like you wouldn't care if a guy was a virgin or not if you wanted to get to know him for him, same applies to guys who want to get to know you for you.
There are also guys who are only in it for sex but see a virgin as a challenge. Look out for those! One way to figure out if a guy's only in it for sex is not to have sex with him in the early days of dating. That most often weeds out the good from the bad.
Stick to what you believe in, don't worry what everyone else is doing, and just do what you're comfortable with.

 Some guys would yes, but these are probably the type to avoid.
If a man really loves you he would not just want to be with you for sex. Theres so much more to a relationship than that and that kind man would not be driven away by innocence.
You dont have to loose your vaginity just to keep up with the other girls where you live, but thats your choice.
Sex for the first time would be more special to you if it is with someone who you really love and not just a one night stand.

keep in mind though,the term right guy isnt the same to everyone.He might be your best friend,the guy who loves you,or just a guy you dated.
As far as virginity goes,experienced guys really like virgins.theyve been with many girls,theyve seen it all,and they do appreciate a girl whos a virgin.it makes them feel powerful and they can teach you stuff.
an immature guy who would just see u as sex,wouldnt like the fact ur a virgin because u wouldnt be able to please them.
Enjoy your virginity while you can,it doesnt last forever!
