writes: So here is a simple question that I thought I might ask, since I haven't been able to find it yet...Why does it seem that when you are single, and the longer you have been, the more and more sex and couples start to appear?It's pretty well known that the mind takes note of these things, but honestly, doesn't it seem more so? Seems like whenever you try not to pay attention it comes on stronger.Has anyone else taken note of this?Perhaps it's just me, 17 years old and my first and only relationship so far having ended over 2 years ago. ummm I wouldn't say that... I'd say that it's because your paying more attention to your surrounding but I bet if you had dat special somebody wherever you went you wouldn't really notice couple because all your attention would be towards that person. :)

I think that you just notice the couples more. Before you didn't think about other couples and now it is a repeating topic in your head. Its the same concept as when someone is taken people tend to find them more attractive.
