In our culture, breasts are almost always covered, even with the skimpiest bathing suit. This doesn't prevent girls from teasing us boys with tight swaeters or lots of cleavage. But at least the nipples are always covered. When someone is teasted in this way, they are anxious to see more. This leads to a continued facination. Girls love to be "loved." Thus they wear sexy clothes and atractive makeup, and they act flirty. They want to be noticed and desired. Teasing us with their breasts is a good way to get that attention, and it works! Breasts serve three purposes. First, as we have seen, they attract the opposite sex. Second, when they are played with or sucked, they get a girl ready for sex (foreplay). Third, they feed the baby who may come as the result.

 Haruka62442, I don't know why you're answering for guys. Unless you have an attraction to breasts, I think you shouldn't say that it's about "survival of the fittest".
Yes, that was a long time ago, but it's not the same thing anymore.
But if I were to pick on a guy's minds, I think the reason why breasts is such a focus is because it reminds them of their mother. It's like a weird Freudian theory. Or just simply because they like their shape and softness. A woman's body is curvy, so why not her breasts?
But if I were to apply your phylosophy, then that means women with small breasts were going to die alone in the old times because guys liked to pick the ones with large breasts? Yes, that's why we find so many large-breasted women nowadays, right? Due to genetics!

Can you be any more close minded? Have you heard of survial of the fittest??? EARY humans would look for the best possible mates while the weaker ones died. Ofcourse today it is not like that but early homosapians, homoerectus, homohabilis, nieandertal and other hominoids did this. Its an inbread instinct for survival.

 In my opinion, no. Very few if any "normal" guys would ever look at perky or otherwise attractive breasts on a woman and think much of anything about feeding babies. I'm totally the normal heterosexual type, and I'm certain that all three men in the past few thousand years whose only thoughts were about breast-feeding have deceased. In my opinion, any size is fine, especially if sporting stimulated and responsive nipples. As usual, I agree with "danielpew" for the most part, but had to offer my philosophical input, right or wrong.

I'd like to see the evidence that any guy has ever said that to himself. Don't believe everything a psychology professor says just because he says it.

In historic times, goddesses such as Ishtar were shown with many breasts, alluding to their role as protectors of childbirth and mothering.
guys like big brests because early man would tried to chooses mates who would be best fit to raise healthy children. Thus the larger the boob the better the mate, which is why (acording to my phychology class) guys like brests and particularly larger ones at that.
