bemused agony auntHi hun

Reach out for help now hun. Sounds like you are confused and embarressed by these feelings and you should not be. I spend my working days with people in your age group and this is sooooo common...you are not alone here. Depression can sneak up on anybody and a lot of people think it they just wait for it to go away..often it will not and will get worse. Your final sentence concerned me the most as you said you wondered why you were here..if you have had even a thought of suicide get help NOW. My first suggestion is you get to your doctor immediately and your guidance counsellor or a favorite teacher at school. They should be able to help put a plan in place so you are not coping with this alone. If you are crying at home I would think your family knows about this...are they on side with helping you. Please keep us posted as to how you are doing hun. xxxx

hlskitten agony auntHi

Could be hormones? My son is nearly 13 and for the last 2 or 3 weeks, off and on, has been saying he feels down. He doesnt know why, he says he just wakes up feeling really low.

At the moment i'm thinking its puberty. But if it carries on, i will seek some professional help. He has good days and bad.

Devilish Angel agony auntYou need to talk to someone because it could be depression. I've been through this and this 'low' feeling could lead to more serious things. Don't be afraid to tell someone how you feel but make sure its someone whom you feel comfortable with or you probably won't tell the whole story.
