Sometimes when i run, or just walk, i get sharp stabbing pains. It seems to be accompanied with lower abdominal cramps(like period pains but its not around that time). The cramps have occurred a lot recently over the last mouth or so, before the hip pain came along. I've had previous back problems, could it be related to this? Please help, im worried.

I had this and i looked it up; it could be a number of things, but have you had sex? this is very uncommon but you can get something called an etopic pregnancy which includes alot these symptoms. If not then never mind. But like the oter guys have suggested, get it checked up and you'll know for sure then.Katy x

I can't speculate what it is because I'm not a doctor.
If you're worried you can call NHS direct for free 0845 46 47 or use the website http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/ and they will respond with proper medical advice.
If you've had back problems in the past then your doctor will be the best person to speak to. Have you told your parent or guardian that you are having pains? I recommend this as your next step.

It could be related to your back problems, or it could be another kind of infection. Get it checked out ASAP.
