 It's not the size of you penis that counts anyway, it's the size of your wallet.
Note: this is a joke! I am not serious, but like every joke there is a grain of truth in it.
The amusing thing about this is how the results differ if measurements are 'self-made' rather than done by a researcher. In the first case, the average comes out near 7 inches, but in the second, somewhere around 5 1/2 inches.

reader, anonymous, writes (5 February 2007): All I know is the long quoted average of 6" is not true. I'd say it's a lot closer to 5" from experience. A guy with a 6" dick is a big guy, IMO. There are also many men with penises 4" and smaller. This is probably why soo many guys think theyre small. They hear the average is 6" and most are smaller than that, a lot are much smaller.
No matter how big the tool is God gave you, just learn how to use what you've got combined with your fingers, tongue, etc. and you can make a woman beg for more and more.

I certainly wouldn't stress out too much about the size of your penis. No one and I mean no one is happy about every part of their body and there is no "perfect" size.

As for Mr. Anon, I believe "average" really depends on who you're asking, where that person gets his/her information from, and from which region of society and the world that information pertains to. It's like asking "What is the average colour density of car?" or "What is the average rainfall in the world?" or "What is the average size of human being?"

 If you include Pygmies, the average is about 5 inches. If you don't include them, the average jumps considerably. . . so to speak.

The most trusted and accepted study by doctors, researchers, and sexual experts is the Wessells study in the 1996 Journal of Urology. It puts the average flaccid penis at 3.5 inches long, and the average erect penis at 5 inches long and 4.75 inches around.
To give a good "normal" range, I would say the average penis size is between 4-6 inches long and 4-5.5 inches around.

To measure length properly place the ruler ON TOP of your erect penis and measure from the point where your penis emerges from your abdomen to the tip.
To measure circumference, wrap a tape measure around the middle of the shaft.

truth is the more you worry the more you'll feel unable to please and destroy yourself. the male penis comes in all forms. but whether its small.long,thin or fat theres ways to get round it all.
sex isnt all about penertration, please her orally for example befor penertration.
but to answer your question the average length is around 6 inches i think.
