I agree with the others. Stretch marks come in all varities. For instance, since your body is rapidly growing at your age, this stretches your skin leaving a stretch mark. Some pregnant women get them and so do people that lift weights. They are perfectly natural. You can minimize them by using a Vitamin E cream.

Gaining and losing weight, and it can also be an indication of dry skin as well.

I have a friend who ended up with stretch marks simply because he grew to fast for his skin to keep up. It just happens to some people. At your age I would say that this is the answer if your weight has not changed drastically in the last year or so.
If you are concerned about them go see your doctor and they might be able to show you some type of lotion that will reduce their appearance if that is an issue.

It usually means you're gaining weight either as fat or muscle. It stretches that skin to accomodate the fast build of fat or muscle. Think about pregnant women who have to deal with stretchmarks on their stomachs that happens when their baby is fast growing..thats the skin trying stretch. It will generally appear as red or pink lines but gradually fade or a pale white colour.
