Go to the General Registrations office and order a copy of your birth certificate. Also take some bills and such too, or bank statements.

you can get another birth pretty cheap there should be an organization that you can go through to get another one issued.
In the us you need seven forms of ID just to get a license atleast im my state they include social security card birth certificate millitary ids credit cards etc
U had a passport there should def be a record of that and i believe you have to have your finger prints on file to get one,
you should report all your stuff as lost because it can be used to steal your identity do a credit check as well to make sure no one has been tampering with it, It sux loosing that stuff and it takes time to get it back but its not impossible good luck.

WOW, first, you need to think ahead and be more careful.
Hopefully you were born in the UK and can get to the hospital where you were born. If so, go and get a birth certificate.
If not (and if the UK is like the US) you're going to need to find a few freinds who will go to a court and swear on your behalf that you are who you say you are.
You need to contact the agency that distributes the documents and see what their procedures are. You need some form of ID and quick. A passport is going to take a while.
in the post 9/11 world getting a new id could be difficult as the authorities should be very leery of people without documentation trying to change their identity.
I just did some searching and BY LAW you have to report a lost UK passport to the authorities, so when you do that tell them EVERYTHING was stolen and ask them what to do. Your identity may be at risk of being stolen.

I think your only option is to head to the General registration office and order a copy of your birth certificate. I think the type of proof you may require then would be your mothers/fathers to prove you are the child?/bank or bill statement? Try searching up on google for the general registration office and ring/email them.
