Sometimes you don’t really notice it is there. Like when the person you love is like far away you feel empty, and when the person you love is close you feel like the safest person in the world. It's something like that I think. lol” I was wondering what is your own definition of what love is to you ? Reply to this Question Share |

If you can say "I love you" and feel that you've expressed yourself adequately, you're not in love.Love is when no words or actions could possibly describe what you feel for someone. It's when you feel so trapped by your own inadequacy to describe what they mean to you that you just want to scream.

love is what keeps you going when everything is going wrong, love is the desire to protect, there is not enough love in this world,

The definition of love... here is my point of view...
I rather like acronyms & these two say it all...
Life's
Only
Valid
Expression
***********
Life's
Only
Valuable
Experience
***********
And also,
Love never questions
Love is unconditional
Love is self sacrificing
Love never boasts
Love never fails
Love is really, really all there is...

My definition of love is you would put them 1st before yourself....you miss that person when they are not there...you want to be with with them, all the time.....you cant stop thinking about them....your sad if they are upset.....but most of all is when you look at that person and you know already that you are in love with them...you dont need to question it....its there.Lust is something else...thats when you just think of that person in just a sexual way but feels just as powerful....it doesnt last as long as love though.

Depends. Some put everything into their love for their children. Some for their partner in life. Some even prefer their pet dog or cat. I don't agree with the sentiment that there is no greater love than that for a child. If you really want to know how love feels or find out more about it, read the great poets.

The actual feeling that you get cannot be put into words. I can try to describe it as a warm feeling in your heart, when you look into each other's eyes.
There are different types of love, and I agree with everyone here, there is no greater love, than the love for a child.
I feel that it takes time to truly love someone when it comes to a relationship. It just hits you one day out of the blue. Sometimes you dont realize how much you love someone, until they are no longer in your life. It can be from time spent together, along with things they have said, and did, that touched your heart. When it comes to a child, it is from the very moment that they are born.
When you love someone, you feel complete, they compliment your life, and you feel that you cannot live without them. They become such a part of you, and you miss them when you are apart. You give unconditionally, and trust one another completely.

I cannot fully define love except for the overwhelming *bursting feeling I get in my heart when I look at my child. Or that snuggly feeling of being safe when I am curled up on the sofa with my hubby.
It's a hard one this.....x

to me love is just an emotion: a person can easily fall in love as well as out of love, however the love for your own child is an experience all its own
