She was probably my fave teacher as she always let me off if i didn't have my homework or missed deadlines etc.I was probably her fave student too not to be modest lol. After my third year ended she seemed pretty sad that i wasn't gonna be in her class, however we did see each other quite alot in the corridors.Anyway, last week i had this teacher for one french lesson and it was great and we had a laugh.I also found out that she was engaged which is great lol. And now everytime she sees me in the corridor she always says hi :) All my mates seem to think we are really alike and look really simliar but i dunno lol. Anyway my question is, i want to get her a present on the last day just to show my thanks, any suggestions?thanks xx(oh and btw i don't have a crush on her, before anyone says, lol.)

Boxes of chocolates are always nice and appreciated - Thorntons? Or you could make her something, like a special thank you card, or if she wears necklaces, a necklace?

A book would be okay.
A letter is really the way to go. Unless you can think of something that she would like, a letter is always good.
For a present, I got my favorite teacher one of those viewmaster clicking things from a musuem I went to in France b/c I know he likes those and we had talked about art before. I also wrote a letter on the back of a picture of the museum and tied it to the gift.
I think if there's nothing you can think of, just giving her a letter would be really thoughtful and heartfelt. Like even though you're clueless on what to give her, you wanted her to know what a difference she's made on your life. She'd love a letter. And you can also keep letters forever. Anything else would be more temporary.
Hope that helped you... Best of luck!

However most teachers don't expect you to go to those limits. I don't think any present could cover it, but you could write a letter just expressing your thanks?!
Like my mate did that because he didn't get my old form teacher a present, but when everyone else did realized how fantastic she was as a teacher, so wrote her a letter saying thank you.
Sometimes words mean a lot more, and they can expressive so many different things. Also it's better writing them down instead of saying them because you get to adapt what you say, and change it if something doesn't work etc etc - sorry that didn't make much sense but you get my jist...
