I don't remember any particular pain that night. The next day, I wakeup and I'm bleeding. I had not yet gotten my period and Assumed that was it. It lasted about a week. Then I got it again in november, but only for 4 days anduch lighter. I hAven't bled since, but am not sure if I really have my period, or just broke my hymen. I haven't told my mom yet in case it was my hymen. Help! I need to know which it was! Thanx

I don't think it's your hymen. In fact, hymen upon breaking nver bleed for days, there is very little blood. As fullvee has pointed out, I think you are having your periods and since you are still young, your periods are not regular. It's very common for girls who have started to menstruate.

You need to get yourself checked at the doctors. If possible, tell your mom or an adult that you can talk to so the person can help you with this issue. Do you have access to a nurse's helpline? Call the clinic/hospital that you go to for your physical checkup and ask a nurse/make an appointment to be seen. Good Luck! :-)

Very likely from your description it was your period, and most girls dont start and stay regular at first. But the best answer is, tell your mom your concerns. She was your age once too, and did all the things you are trying now, most likely. She will understand and be relieved you trusted her enough to ask.
