If you don’t take a contraceptive pill
See your GP. They may be able to prescribe medication called norethisterone to delay your period. Your GP will advise you when to take norethisterone and for how long.
Usually, you will be prescribed three norethisterone tablets a day, starting three days before you expect your period to begin. Your period should arrive two to three days after you stop taking the medication.
Important: norethisterone is not a contraceptive and it may not be suitable if you have a history of thrombosis (blood clots in the veins).
Hope this helps!!

I went to the doctor and he gave me some tablets (no idea what they were called!) which basically just delayed my period for a week. Just had to take one a day for the whole holiday and then when I got back and stopped taking them I came on my period. I suggest you go to your doctor and ask them :)

Without the hormonal influx from birth control, I doubt you can "magically" change the time of your period.
Sorry :(

I know you dont want anyone to suggest tampons or birth control pills but I just have to say dont be scared of using a tampon , my daughter is 14 and she uses them all the time no problem so when you have it , get the small tampons (smaller than ones your mom wears) at the store and they are alot easier to insert for smaller girls your age. Just be careful , like I told my daughter , you have to change them frequently, don't forget about them and leave them in for long. If you open your mind to that , your vacation will be great and fun even with your period. you will be able to swim and wear thongs and do all the things girls can do on vacation. There is and might be something your GYN can prescribe to you that may delay it. I think you should just suck it up , and think tampons , or hey maybe you wont get it right at that time on vacations , periods fluctuate sometimes.

you can do two things
1) call up your gyno and he will prescribe birth control pills that can change the time of ur period.
2) do use a tampon.

There is nothing you can do to dely your period, any methods you read online dont work and are just old stories, if you want you can go to the doctor and get pills to stop it just this once, not birth control, a friend of mine used those when we were young and went away.

Not sure what you might do to change the date of your period. Why don;'t you just change your plans of being away for a few days that won't interfere with your period?
