I have dated men on and off my whole like, even married a man 20 yrs my senior. He die last year. I have no children, but lots of family.What is wrong with me, I can't get this out of my head.  apparently the bible also says it is an abomination unto the lord to eat shellfish, and that it is okay to beat your wife with a stick. Do you believe these things too?
If you believe your god is a god of love, than he will accept you for who and what you are. There is nothing wrong with you.

I'm neither gay, nor bi, and don't have a single urge to be either, and I was raised in a very conservative religious (christian) sect.

 What sort of relationship do you have with God? It really all comes down to what you think and believe in. No one else has a right to judge you.
I believe that love is love, no matter what shape or form it takes. When you love someone, that love creates happiness. How can love, which brings happiness, be wrong?
Read the parts of the Bible that talk of love, especially 1 Chorinthians 13. Then see if what you feel in your heart is truly wrong, or truly good.
From 1 Chorinthians 13:
If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.
And if I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
And if I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profiteth me nothing.
Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

I think you should find a woman who makes you happy and have a relationship with her. You shouldn't go to a doctor because this isn't an affliction or an illness, its not a disability or deformity. This is part of who you are. Not taking a stand against nazi germany persecution of jews, active institutionalized molestation of boys and rape of nuns, etc. (wearing funny hats)
You are not messed up in the head. You are you. You are a human. Do what you want to do and be happy.
PS If you wear multiple types of fabric or a cotton/polyester blend, you are also to be put to death.
Do you wear a single form of fabric?
My point is the bible is an old multi-thousand year old book that says many crazy things.
