As long as you have a set time frame of two years and you stick to it... why not...
the issue becomes if two years morphs into three years... then 5 years... and then magically your not doing what you trained to do because you are still chasing that elusive dream.

If you are truly committed and determined; I say go for it.
However; please be prepared to support yourself. Avoid scams and people who will try to entice you into things that are not what you're looking for.
Naive young people end up on drugs, into prostitution, and very broken pursuing their dreams in a large city that can devour them. Don't go into it starry-eyed and foolish. Know all the precautions and listen to advice. There are people in that industry with power; who will exploit you and will get in your way. Prepare for all the ugly realities. It isn't always as glamorous as it seems in magazines and on the screen.
Good luck!

Sure, why not ? You are young , you haven't really started out in life yet, it's not like you are leaving a steady job or a family with kids behind you. You have completed your education, so if things do not pan out, you've got your degree to fall back on and you can pursue employement in a related field. Have you got savings ? You need some money to start out in a new city, and - to enroll in a good acting school . Acting school won't give you talent or scenic presence if you don't have it, but discipline ,determination, and mastery of technical skills, yes. Good luck , or, actually... "break a leg" !

2 years ago I had the chance to move to London, and to pursue a particular dream whilst working. I've not yet achieved my dream, but I am certainly much closer, and no matter what I still live in a great city and have better prospects that I did when living in the small town with nothing in it!
Pursue your dream. If nothing else, you'll know you tried.

Try your hand at local theater (there are small theaters somewhere) first and some acting classes to make certain that you have the talent and the look (not necessarily good looking, just someone people want to see). Unfortunately the odds are against you, so you don't want to destroy your "fall-back" option in case acting doesn't work out.

Definitely go for achieving your dreams, but make sure you have a plan! Save up so that you can rent an apartment and try to get a job lined up. Also see if you can take classes at a community college on the side so that you won't feel so behind.
