I'm not a person that would ask for promises or commitment while my ex gave me his life commitment and talked about our future all the time. I ended my relationship last week because he's drifting apart the last two months. I'm Asian and he's white. Before he left my country he gave me his college shirt and wanted me to keep it so when I missed him I had the shirt like he's with me. The shirt means a lot to me because I know it means a lot to him too. He never called or wrote to me after the breakup. It seems that he just doesn't care. I dont know what to do with his shirt since it means so much to both of us. Should I keep it or return to him?

If it means that much to you and helps you cope with him being gone, I would keep it. In the off chance that he does phone you, at least you'll still have it and hey, free shirt. Use it as a jammie shirt. Be a good keep sake to remember him and your relationship with him.
I would definitely keep it.

Keep it. That was his intention. Eventually it won't mean anything to you and you will get rid of it.

I agree. A college shirt is very easily replaceable. If it was some old family heirloom or an engagement ring, I'd say send it back. However, Cindy's right -- he could have asked for it back if he wanted.
Just toss it somewhere out of sight like the back of your closet, the basement or a storage box. Don't keep it prominent as a reminder, but toss it somewhere.
