My period started today but I'm still worrying about being pregnant although the chances are really slim . I'm thinking of going to get the morning after pill tomorrow which I think is the last day I can get it but I'm not sure whether I should or not? Am I just being silly ?

That's good you got the pill. Were you still within the working time frame of the pill though? You might still want to take that test just in case. Also, I'm not sure if this is what you meant, but you ovulate in-between periods, not in the middle of one.

I'm the poster of the question - thanks for your advice I had been worrying about it so I went to get the pill today. I am pretty sure my chances of getting pregnant were very slim as I am like clockwork and am nearly certain I always ovulate during the middle of my period also my concerns based on the protection we used were more I had no idea if the condom had come off or split as we were drunk. Thanks for the advice.

Probably get the pill, unless you do find evidence you used a condom. Besides an abortion, or God forbit a kid, is more expensive.

Go talk to the chemist, the effectiveness wears off as time goes by, so go NOW.

If in doubt, get the pill. Even if you used a condom, there's no guarantee you guys put it on properly to begin with or checked for spills or tears after intercourse. The sooner you take the morning after pill, the more effective it is.
The bleeding you see could be your period or it could be implantation bleeding when an embryo attaches to the uterine wall. If your period doesn't look normal, I suggest you take a pregnancy test. Even if it does look normal, you might want to take one anyway for peace of mind.

It's free for you to take, speak to the pharmacist. She/he will be able to advise you. You can take the MAP up to 72 hours after intercourse.

Its too late for the pill now... And yes, you should have taken it. Consider tha alternative if youre not "just being silly", you would just be pregnant instead. Buy the morning after pill, read the leaflet, and then keep it for next time you cant remember. Always better to be safe than sorry.

Little bleeding during pregnancy is sometimes occurs but you would know that it's not period, it's just a little bleeding.
