babymama99 agony auntI looked it up on the internet to find what the normal weight range is for a 5'0 female and it said you should be somewhere between 100 - 104 pounds. So you do seem to be significantly under weight.

Talk with your doctor to find out how to gain weight and stay healthy.

I recently saw a documentary about eating disorders (I'm not saying you have one, I'm just going to tell you because she was underweight too.) and the girl on there said that even now she is 30, she has never had a period and she will NEVER be able to have children because she was so underweight during puberty.

You need to put on some weight sweetie.

Eat some nuts, and include some oils and fats in your diet where you can. Eat more bread. Eat some chocolate!

You say you eat normally but I think you need to check your portion sizes. Did you know you can buy things like vegetarian lasagne? heat it up for 40 mins in the oven and BAM, a big cheesy meal to fill you up.

Good Luck!! xx

mister.m agony auntWhen you're unsure yourself, I suggest you visit your doctor to analyze your health. Remember it's not a big issue to consult a doctor about your worries, they are happy to help and glad you came. Also when it's nothing serious, you and your family will feel more at rest.

Being underweight can be very damaging to your health, escpecially at your age. You're in puberty and your body is developing. By not getting sufficient nutrients, your development will suffer from it.

Honeygirl agony auntSweetie, I am also a vegetarian and found that unless you have a balanced diet you can loose weight far too easily as well as put it on far too easily.

Please visit your healthcare provider or a dietician who can advise you how is the best way to combine your foods so that you gain some weight.

Mail me if you want some tips on what to eat!

yeh i can see why your family and friends are worried that is quite underweight. Maybe to ease your family's worries you could go and see your doctor and see what they tell you. Its up to you but your family must be quite worried about you, its proboaly not you losing weight on purpose, maybe your diet just needs to be changed but ask your doctor they can give you some answers. Also, it depends on your age, if your only 13 then you prbably havent gone through or started puberty but if your family thought that i suppose they wouldnt be worried. Good luck, its prbably nothing

Being under weight is just as bad as being over weight. If you're not doing anything specific to keep your weight so low then I would have your family take you to a doctor. You can discuss with him/her your options for gaining a few healthy pounds so that you can be more healthy without becoming fat.
