But I have a horrible aversion to feet. I don't want anyone touching my feet, I don't want to touch other peoples feet, I don't want their feet touching me, and I also cant wear socks after I've already put them on, because my feet have already been in there... O.oI just wanted to know if this is something that others feel too, so I don't feel so abnormal, lol. I'm not sure if this is a full-blown phobia, but since I know there's such thing as a foot fetish, maybe there's an opposite that's not a phobia? lol, idk.(If you'd like to relate it to relationships, the only thing it's bothering is that my boyfriend isn't going to give me foot massages? Which he's ok with... lol_ Reply to this Question Share |

My mom got an infection on her toenail and after 3 operations to remove the nail, it's still there.
So I dont even want to THINK about anything x.x

Yeah Shadow, I can not do pedicures and honestly manicures makes me gag, mostly because I don't think the work spaces at nail salons are all that clean and the instruments.. well, they have touched other people.. and maybe their feet/toes.. *shivers* I'm a bit of a germaphobe. too.
I don't think it's an irrational fear, but it might be worth trying to work on touching your partners feet and him touching yours. MAke it a challenge lol If you can't do it.. well, then there are PLENTY of other parts of the body that can/will enjoy a massage and touch.
And you know what? You can spoil your own feet lol I do, I don't find mine ugly at all, I just don't like them touched and I don't like touching others. But they are in great shape all year around.
I don't think you have a full blown phobia ( if you looked at my earlier link) most people with Podiaphobia don't like to even SHOW their feet in public or private. They wear socks 24/7.
Just be glad your man doesn't have a foot fetish .

Shadow Rose is verified as being by the original poster of the questionLike Honeypie, I dont mind showing off my feet. I perfer flip flops or easy to slip on shoes, although, as a fashion statement, boots are my favorite type of shoe, haha. I guess I just feel like feet are a dirty body part that will never be truly clean in my eyes... Not sure exactly, but that's a good way to describe it!
Eew... Pedicure... Random ladies touching my feet x.x now I'm all imagining it...

I'm like you. I don't like feet at all or ears.. Same thing.
I actually RARELY wear socks ( flip flop girl lol) only in sneakers and boots do I wear socks. I would rater shoot myself (in the foot) then have a pedicure. *shivers*
It's not uncommon.

Then I think that you just don't like your feet in general. Some people hate feet some people like them. Are you self conscious about your feet for example do you hide them if your not wearing socks? I used to do that not any more though. Good luck and I hope you start loving your feet soon.

Plenty of people feel this! I know girls who don't like their feet even looked at. I used to think I was weird because I think feet are cute but I found out that there isn't a lot of"weird" in the world.just people who enjoy somethings and people who do not.totally normal to despise feet

Shadow Rose is verified as being by the original poster of the questionI agree with YouWish, hand massages are the BEST. I think I might even go so far as to say I have a hand fetish XD I love having my hands touched or kissed, it turns me on, and I enjoy it when my partners hands are well kept.
yeah, I wont hack off any feet, so long as they aren't being shoved in my face, haha. And I do actually have a bit of germophobia, I was raised in an environment with lots of hand sanitizer and chores.

Many people hate feet. Sometimes it's an extension of germophobia. Sometimes it's simply a hatred of the foot in general.
In my opinion, unless you're having urges to go on a foot hacking crime spree, you're fine!
To the anonymous guy whose girlfriend gets cranky because of no foot massages, pay for a professional spa foot massage for her, and in the meantime, show her how awesome a hand massage is!

Shadow Rose is verified as being by the original poster of the questionTo anon: I think that is kinda selfish of her. I know how you feel, and if my boyfriend did something like that, I'd be pretty pissed! To CindyCares and In.Love.With.Him:I dont have an irrational fear of feet though, just a dislike of touching, being touched by, or having someone touch 'em. Like spiders, I'm not afraid of them, but I will freak out if one is on me, because it's a spider, and it could be venomous.I dont have the same reaction to feet as I do to bees (I'm fairly sure I have a phobia of bees. If I hear buzzing, I'll freak out)

A

I can pretty much only tolerate my own pair lol. Many times my girlfriend gets upset because she wants foot massages but I refuse to do them. I figure, if she won't care about my feeling towards this matter, then she's bring selfish because to me this is pretty big.

Yes, there are people with a phobic aversion to feet. It's called podophobia.
See a psychologist if it gets to be a big problem,... or else , buy a cool pair of spike heels ( black patent leather ? red satin ? LOL ) and keep them on in bed :)

I have to agree with Moo's Mum it is most likely a phobia. I love my feel I used to hate them not like you do but I would never show them to anyone but my boyfriend sucks on my toes and it tickles. Your missing out though with the foot massages. try one time to ask your boyfriend to massage your feet. there is no other way to get over a phobia then to face it head on.I used to have a phobia of spiders I'd scream, run, and stay out of the room for days. now I can hold one they are soft fellows.

Shadow Rose is verified as being by the original poster of the questionAh, I understand you need feet and all, I'm glad I have feet, but I dont like other peoples feet, and I dont like things touching my feet. My great aunt is like this too, only person I've really ever known that's like that. Her feet are ticklish though...

I don't find my feet the most attractive part of my body but I don't feel about them the way you do. I'm really glad they are there really. When you think of what your feet do for you they are pretty amazing things really. This does sound like some kind of phobia. I would talk to your doctor about it and see what he/she suggests.
