Smellyellie agony aunttalk to your mum properly about it.. Besides aren't you a little old to be doing as she says?

I don't understand how religion comes into this either and if it helps you with lab work then why not go have it done with out her knowing she can't say anything to you after you have had it done can she??!!!

TasteofIndia agony auntAnd, maybe you could do something positive with the hair you cut off? Not sure if they have programs like "Locks of Love" or anything where you are, but perhaps you can donate your hair to a cause. God would definitely give you the thumbs up on that. But, if that is not an option, I think "DC" definitely gave you the best suggestion. Good luck, sweetness!

I agree with Harry.

Why is your mum so concerned with your hair? You already work in a lab; science and religion? Conflicting ideas, yet your mum is still ok with that.

It's really dangerous too. Bunsen burners, chemicals, you're potentially a walking hazard!

Tell your mum to get over it and have a lovely v- shape cut in.

ilovebowsandcherries agony auntHun it's your hair your life your money so go for it i mean if it's for work as well surely she can understand.

surely she doesn't want you getting told off for having too long hair and getting into all sorts of chemicals and stuff. could affect you in the long run.

anyways just go for it.

your hair and it's your career you're thinking of here.

Hope this helps x

try having your boss write a letter to her saying 'your hair needs to be cut due to safety precautions in the lab'. just a thought.
