reader, anonymous, writes (12 April 2011): Avoid like the plague. At least until he's over 18. I think that's the legal age of consent for gay men in this country. It's unfair, but the law's the law. If it ends badly he has ammunition against you and you could land in a lot of trouble.

The younger one probably looks up to you as a strong older person who will look after him, support him etc. Nothing wrong with that tho they can sometimes be clingy, i'd say why not go on a date or something as long as you both are comfortable but don't push him too hard and also don't let him get carried away. Age 16 is legal in the UK.

Well... there could be some legal ramifications (with the age difference - him being 'under age' and all). However, since I'm not a legal expert in the UK I'll just let you decide on whether it's ok legally for you to be with him.
Now... that said... if you both like each other. Go for it.
