I am thirteen and going thu puberty... obviously. any way I have a lot of pubic hair that show on the bekini line and I really want my mom to buy me nair wax strips for bikini lone or something like that but I don't now how to appraoch her, tell her this and ask. Please help me. I am in a really awkword position because I am having a pool party and the days is apraoching really quickly. When you went thru this what did you do? Well you were probably feeling embaressed, confused and not knowing what to do like me please help me!!!!!! I tried shaving but it is ugly and really irritates me etc... I don't now how to tell my mom about my hair issue down there and ask to buy something for it.

why dont you ask her iof youcanhave a lift into town when shes going go and get itand meet her when shes going back?

if you feel really awkward about speaking to her just buy it yourself thats what i do or ask if you can borrow some money and buy it. When i first came on my period i didnt say anything to my mum until i needed more towels which i hated using but she bought me some in case, before it was hard enough asking her for tampons cos i really dislike sanitary towels. If you do feel you need to ask her just say mum when i try my bikini/swimsuit on i have hair comeing through will you buy me some wax strips because its the pool party soon or if theres a add forsome on the tellysay mum will you buy me some of them because its my birthday soon and i have to wear a swimsuit dont i so ... im sure she'll catch on xoxo

Your mom will know exactly what to do. please understand we all shave to keep ourselves presentable. whether its under your arm, legs or yes your pubic hair.
this is nothing to be ashamed or embarrased about your mom will probably have gotton around to talking to you about it anyway, it just need to be sooner rather than later. and you are the only one who can tell her it needs to be now.

I had a hard time getting the words out to my mom when I about your age and needed to buy tampons, so I just got a sales ad and pointed to it near her. Believe it or not, your mom has been there too! reader, anonymous, writes (29 May 2009): i think we have all been where you are - and let me guess - you tried to shave the whole lot and it was incredibly itchy - thats what i did and i know loads of my mates did it because i am abit older than you and we have all spoken about it.
I am going to suggest three things and i am going to be graphic because i think you probably want that -
The first being what i do - i shave all the area around the lips very carfuly and thoughourly. i stop when i reach the frount part immediatly when the split ends (if that makes sense) then i also shave around the edges of the frount bit like the crack where the leg meets. next i just cut the remaining hair so it is doesnt curl but it not short and that suits me perfectly and last a couple of days. the first time takes a while but as long as you stay on top of it it is fine - and if its only for a pool party your sorted. (do it the night before and there will be absolutly non showing)
the next is why not buy somthing yourslef. if you do read the instuctions VERY carfully so you get it right first time and you do not hurt yourself or make it uncomfortable - if you are going to wax then do it at least a week or so before the party.
the final solution which in some ways will be the easiest but the most embarresing is just to tell your mum. she will have had the same worries at some point in her life and will probably be happy to know that you can talk to her about that sort of thing. just say somthing like - mum, you know i have that pool party coming up. well im worried that when i am in my bikini/costume that... well ... you know ... my pubic hair is gonna show. i know its not what you want to do but she will definatly know the best and she will be able to give you advice on how to use whatever she advices. she is a woman - she has pubic hair - she will have done somthing to it - practically all woman do.
At the end of the day you are not alone - i bet your mates are also having the same worries. i know all mine were and i know i did.

 just say hey mom when i wear my suit i have hair that sticks out and i cant shave it b/c........ would you buy me /blank/ b/c it would really help me. your mom will listen more then you know.
