I think the usual amount of time in the Uk before you can get help for fertility problems is 12 months. You may have only ovulated once during that 7 seven weeks so really it's no big deal at all. For some people it can take a long time, for others a short time. That doesn't mean there's anything wrong with any of them.
You're lucky though, if you don't want a baby then use some contraception. Because seven weeks is a long time to be silly and eventually it will happen.

for sods sake go to a sex clinic.
you do not know who he has slept with, or what they have or what his partners partners have had and so on.
you could have anything, theres big chance you could already be infertile the longer you live it the riskier it gets.
go to a sex clnic or a hospital get checked out, then talk to the nurse about types of contraception like the deproveum, implant, pill, coil, patch.
as well as condoms.
if your serious about this lad get him checked out too, then if you don't like using condoms you are safe.
