A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Basically before this guy, i didnt believe in serious relationships in your adolescence. i met him freshmen year and now we're going into junior year and still together, even though i switched schools. our relationship has been nearly perfect with one minor setback, he liked a girl for a time period but did not cheat. and he confessed this to me.. this also happened to me. however we ust talked it out and figured out that it wasnt a big deal. other than this our relationship is perfect, we talk about every issue, we apologize for moodswings etc. we have sex, and it doesnt intefere, infact makes us stronger.

We have watched a good share of our friends break up around us, and its never been us. weve always found a way to fix things. we are both extremely happy and committed. which seems to be strange, since we are in highschool.i honestly dont see the day we would break up..is this weird? is there something wrong? i feel like its too good to be true..we think and say we're in love..but is this even possible at our age? helpp pleaseeeeeeee:(

GrimmReality agony auntCount your lucky stars...adulthood will bring a whole host of other problems that you haven't run across. I say you should be happy with what you have, becuase as you get older you will realise it most likely will never be this good again.

rawrxo agony auntI'd say that you have a beautiful thing going and that there's no need to fret over it. Just relax and enjoy what you have!

I believe it's possible to be in love at this age.

My boyfriend and I sound a LOT like you and your boyfriend, except we don't have sex. He is very Catholic and doesn't want to commit a sin or make me feel like he only loves my body or something, and I have been abused in the past, which he knows, so he is extra careful with me.

Every relationship has it's ups and downs, but any relationship that lasts and that you can't see breaking off is a good relationship.

Don't worry about it being too perfect.

hey there, damm i would love to be in your situation.

i would say that you could possibly be in love for your age, because the two of you are having a serious relationship just like mature people. i think the two of you can handle everything that's going on between the two of you and i'm sure everything is gonna be fine and i hope that the two of you last forever, or as long as you want.

good luck and i'm sure you'll make it =]

Of course it it babe=)

im almost sixteen & im tellinq yu it is possible.

You two just happen to be very in sync with eachother, which is great. Most people break up because they dont talk about their problems, and it seems like yall have the communication thing down pact. You have nothing to worry about =)

Truth is this that wont last forever, all relationships go through really hard times, times where you start to question your love & commitment, but if you stay the way that you are, working out your problems & communications, im sure that you will get through them.

Keep up the good work, many people, including me, wish & pray for a relationship like yours. Your extrememly lucky =)

Just relax & enjoy the feelings of being in love. =D

Hope i helped.

A female reader, purple_butterfly Canada +, writes (12 August 2009):

uh dont jinx it. Its really good how you both are understanding one another and loving each other a lot and being extremely honest. Thats a good start. No relationship is perfect in this world. There are problems and disputes between every couple but what makes some relationships stronger than the other is the ability and the ease with which they solve the problem. this also depends on the love we have for the person. Like you said, you both had crushes while being in the relationship and you talked it out, which is good. A lot of people like other people when theyre in relationships and it is completely normal but its better to talk, as honesty is the key.

you are still young. I wouldn't say think about the future and worry but don't over analyze the situation right now. I am glad and touchdown that you're both very happy right now and I hope it stays the same. With time, you'd both grow older, your love and problems in life both would increase. But why worry about things right now? if you have is great , ( perfect as you call it ) i wouldnt worry abt the future. and yes it could be love but time will prove everything.

goodluck with everything hun

i hope it helped

Jay_xxxxx agony auntNo this is not weird. I know how you feel as I feel the same about my boyfriend, he is always telling me about the girls he liked and the ones he find nice too but always tells me that he'll never love a person as much as he loves me.

You shouldn't be asking these questions you should be out enjoying the fact you have found someone like this and that you know that you'll spend the rest of your life with him

So be happy and try to fight back these questions

A female reader, Blondy United States +, writes (12 August 2009):

Blondy agony auntI don't see the problem. I've been with my guy since my junior year of high school and its still great. We're engaged now because of our 'perfect relationship' My best friend dated her boyfriend since 9th grade and now their married with one kid and a second one on the way and I think they have got the type of relationship you describe too. I really don't think they're ever been mad at eachother, they work perfectly and started at the beginning of high school. My parents were high school sweethearts and are still married and they seem still seem happy with eachother. So yes I think it can happen. If you're in this perfect relationship...whats the problem? I would just keep doing what you're doing because its worked so far, if it continues then good for you. If not, then you're still young and can find another and try again.

natnatxxx agony auntI dont see why your complaining lol, you have a relationship thats works well, that hards to come by, every relationship needs work but yours seems quite the easy type. Enjoy it while it lasts, you never know what might come next that could split you two up or in the oppsitite make you two even closer.

Just remeber your only 16-17 like myself, and i always remeber even though i love my relationship, that my whole life is ahead of me, i dont need to settle down properly just yet, just enjoy each moment :)

It is unusual but is still possible as you are proving. Be happy with what you each have- you don't want to blow it just because you think its a little strange right? Stand out from the crowd- be bold!
