A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I'm just under 5 foot, 18 years old and a bit curvier... I've never had a boyfriend despite being quite outgoing and flirty. I'm not desperate just concerned that because of my height guys just look at me as a cute little sister or a friend. Don't mind particularly at the moment, just hope one day some guy will like me like me!!! Is this normal between shorter girls? Just wondered really... Thank you

Cheeks agony auntYeah, some guys call little chicks like us "spinners". I don't even want to know where that come from or what its meant to imply but theres a name for us. I'm 5'1 or 5'4 with heels and my boyfriend is huge compared to me but I think one of the reasons he likes that about me is because if anything were to ever happen, he wouldn't be stuck lugging around 160lbs. I think he like that he can pick me up with one arm. Although I do think he's affraid to hurt me. But I'm tougher than I look. You'll find someone. Maybe men are just scared they'll break you or something too. Good luck.

5'3" w/ a boyfriend. He does think of me like a little kid sometimes, and it can be a bit annoying, but there are things other than my height that makes him say that, so I guess I'd have to work on that.

smiliek agony auntin 5ft nothing and while i get teased a bit by friends and told i look alot younger then what i am by strangers (annoying) i haven't had too much trouble with guys. Im getting married soon... In my teen yrs i think it was harder, i dont have big boobs like some of my friends and it seemed in high school thats what guys went for.. Dont worry there'll be someone who thinks you're perfect just the way you are

TimmD agony auntYou should have no problems. Honestly, I think it's harder for women who are taller than the average man to find someone. Shorter is not usually a problem for a woman.

tennisstar88 agony auntYes! My friend Shannon is 5 foot and she feels like she has to compete for guy's attention. She can't stand when guys try to pick her up or call her their little sister..In fact, she has trouble dating guys at times. She's a curvy one with slightly above average boobs. But, she does get boyfriends from time to time and just focuses on being her and eventually some guy will accept her for who she is. Do note, that guys do like those petite girls they feel like they have to protect and take care of.

witch-fire agony auntHi, I'm 5'5" tall and alwys thought my height was an issue with blokes along with other things, but I've recently found out I was living in the wrong city.

Don't think guys are too bothered by height; it's confidence that matters most. We short girls just need to look pst that issue. Hope that helps hun x

dirtball agony auntI can't answer if it's normal, but I'll let you know that I find shorter girls just as attractive as taller ones. The smaller they are, the bigger I look. ;)
