Hi. I know you asked this two years ago, but I really hope you got your braces.
I would date an 18-year-old guy with braces if I liked him. In fact, i find it rather cute! haha

DO IT! You're young. Its not unusual. After many many years of being unhappy with my smile, I got them at **34**! It's been over a year and truly I forget I have them. My male neighbor still hit on me, too. Too funny. Two years is going to pass, anyway, so you might as well go for it..! Good luck!

The good thing about your braces is that they serve the purpose they are meant to and then the dentist will remove them. Voilá!

I had braces and to be honest at first i hated them
But after while you dont relise you have them
BUT think about it, youll have them for two year (i was supposed to but mine was only 18 months) and then you will have nice straight teeth for the rest of your life
But people may see your braces once then they wont really notice after.
There not that a big a deal, after a while

Does nobody remeber when Tom Cruise had braces? What would you rather do have lovely straight teeth or have bad teeth?
A girls not going to care if you wear braces at 18! And even if they did would you really want to be with someone that shallow?

i have braces on too.. it's not the big of a deal..i 2 years and i will have the smile that i've always dreamt about..for some people it's really a turn off. but guess what i'm dating the cutest guy..and i have guys chasing after me..and the most popular girl..
don't think about it.and do it because it s better for you and most people put braces...you'll find someone who loves u for who you are or who would date you for who you are..not for what you have in your mouth..:)take care

hi, im about the same age as you and have braces. Im not going to lie to you. I hate them, and feel like really self concious about them. But i know in the long run its for the best. You can either deal with braces for a couple of years. Or deal with croocked teeth for the rest of your life. Its up to you really.

Its acceptable now for older people to wear braces, I have friends in their 30's wearing them. Stop worrying, if my daughters teeth are anything to go by then you will have fantastic teeth soon, she was told 2 years and it only took 9 months. If a woman likes you she will see past them anyway. Also you can get invisible ones now x

Hi sweet,
When I was 18, I was dating this 22 year old who was a year into his braces. He was a fellow actor, and we had a ton in common, and to be honest - I never even noticed the braces. I really liked HIM, he was completely talented, cute as hell, funny and smart... he was a lot of fun.
Think about it - you'll suffer through braces for a couple years and then you'll have perfect teeth for the rest of your life. I say do it NOW! I mean, you say that your teeth are pretty messed up - they won't look any worse with braces. Seriously, 18 isn't too old to have braces. Do it and be in love with your glorious, glowing smile down the road! You'll be so grateful that you had braces.
Good luck, sweetness!
