hi.

im 18 and have a problem that has been getting on my nerves, my armpits keep sweating, it happens within 10 minutes of getting out the bath. i wash well and everyday, im very hygienic.

the sweat doesn't smell, it just ruins me from wearing nice tops because it drips through and people can notice it, so i choose dark colour tops so it wont show or cotton. i have lots of nice tops and jackets that i cant even where because it leaves sweat patches, bright summer colours are out of the question because it will show through. i cant wear sleaved tops i just were cut tops that hasn't got arms but even i sweat in them but not as bad, this problem is getting on my nerves. what is causing this? and is there any home remdies that can help stop the sweating? please help!

Try one of the '24 hour' anti-perspirants. I have used dri-color and Mitchum myself and it worked a treat. You use it at night when just before bed. You have to use it a lot initially but then you can reduce it to 2 or 3 nights a week! Amazing!

There is something sold here in the U.S. called Certain Dri. It is unbelievably awesome, but you have to use it specifically how it says. You can only use it at night and very sparingly. I recommend the roll-on, not the solid, because I think it works better. It can be irritating to the skin, but I have found that if you can deal with a bit of itching for a couple of nights, it stops...it's like your skin gets used to it. Another great thing about this product is that after awhile, you do not have to even use anti-perspirant and you don't have to use Certain Dri every night. It works by closing the pores under your arm, which they say is okay because you have millions of other pores on your body so it is supposed to be safe.

Good luck!

C. Grant agony auntI had the same problem when I was your age. I had to try a few different over-the-counter anti-perspirants before I found one that worked.

It might be worth speaking to your doctor. You can get treatment for it.
