So_Very_Confused agony auntNOTHING you can do to speed it up. Nature has it's own time table.

I can tell you that no matter how prepared you think you are when you do get it, it will be a shock... and not just the first time.... over and over and over in the coming years you will go "oh I was not expecting THAT NOW"

Honey I have had a period for 40 some years (I started at age 11 and I'm 51 now)... the earlier you start the longer you keep it.

I understand that your friends have started and it's a BIG HUGE DEAL to get it and have it but truthfully eventually it will be a PITA for you....

chigirl agony auntMost girls get their period at the age of 13-16. You might still have some years ahead of you, or not. But there is nothing you can or should do about it.

tennisstar88 agony auntNo. I rather understand why you want it to come because everyone else in your class has already gotten there's. So you feel a little like a late bloomer.

I didn't get mine until I was 14 and it was during school!! Luckily, I was prepared with a extra pair of underoos and some Kotex. Even though it may be you're defining point in leaving childhood and on the road to becoming a woman, it's still not as glamorous as you think it is.

It's messy, stains your underwear, not to mention gross, you can't fit into your jeans because you're so bloated and reduced to wearing sweat pants all the time, and you can get incredibly painful cramps to the point of where you have to go home.

Honeypie agony auntNo there isn't. BE GLAD you don't have it yet you will most likely have it for 45+ years.. once a months.. TRUST me it is NOT something FUN/GREAT/EXCITING! It's pain, mess and emotionally annoying.. EVERY month.

Don't wish for something like that to hurry up and happen!! Trust me it's more of a hassle and a pain than something you want to happen.

Why do you want it to happen so fast? Because you feel left out amongst your friends/ peers? If so don't worry about it, having your period isn't something fun, enjoy not having it while you can. I was older when I got mine and I'm glad I wasn't like my friends who got theirs when I still felt like a child.

If you are wanting it because you want other stuff to do with puberty to happen faster, for eg boob growth or something... remember that everybodies' body is different, and you will develop differently. Just accept what you got, before you know it it'll be here!

Oh and just a last note.. if you stress and worry about it... the stress can prevent it from happening... for eg stressing about getting your period can actually slow it from actually happening. So stop worrying hun

Why the hurry? Make the most of your period-free life while you can!
