reader, anonymous, writes (18 August 2011): I like women who wear very natural make up like just lipstick and a bit of foundation not layers upon layers of various products. That said, my girlfriend is equally as stunning without make up on. She only uses it to enhance her natural beauty not to cover her true self up. I love and respect her for it and i think a lot of guys dont really go for the caked on look anyway.

reader, anonymous, writes (18 August 2011): In my opinion, few women really wear makeup well. Those that need makeup often know it, and either use too much or use it very well...but you can still tell.
Women who need zero makeup to look perfect are also few. The ones in the middle, who wear only a bit of lip gloss or a tiny bit of shadow or blush, often look the best to me. I like when a woman wears a little makeup to bring out her features, but never so much that it takes more than a minute or 2 to put it on.

 I feel prettier with makeup on. My BF given a choice of my doing my hair or my makeup prefers that I do my hair. I always thought it would be make up.. I was pretty surprised.

The problem is that there are few women out there who leave home without applying atleast a minimum layer of foundation to cover up blemishes. So the look that a lot of guys consider to be natural is actually a minimal amount of makeup, but makeup nevertheless. Many girls who have that natural look about them are simply very good at evening out their skin with foundation. Like Jennifer Lopez once said "there's a lot of work behind looking natural".
Sure, there are a few women out there blessed with great genetics that allow them to walk makeup-less, but they're in the minority.
I think what guys hate is when a women cakes on an entire mask of makeup, because then she is literally camouflaging her appearance. Sure, fire engine red lipstick is nice for a special occasion, but every day? No. Same with smokey eyes and other looks that involve a lot of layers of makeup. I knew a girl who wore smokey eyes to school every day. Then she got an eye infection and wasn't allowed to wear eye makeup for 4 weeks. In the beginning, whenever I looked at her it was as though something was missing.
So the bottom line of this rant: don't let makeup become a part of what makes you you. Keep it natural looking, if you have to use it. Guys don't want to wake up next to you thinking "what the hell is that icky stuff on her pillow" and "where is the girl I took home yesterday and who are you?"

Make up was never really supposed to act as a total cover-up for a woman. It was supposed to draw attention to a part of her, say her lips or her eyes. Some women nowadays use far too much make up and wind up looking like toucans!
I would always say that a woman is her most attractive in her natural state, and make-up is something that should draw attention to certain parts. I'd never say a woman should cover her entire face in it!

Some women are natural beauties, and I appreciate them more when they aren't wearing any makeup even though they tend to look even hotter when they put a little bit on. This describes the type of girl I generally go for. If she's confident enough to go to work without any makeup on, for example, I find it really HOT. I'll ask such a woman to not wear any makeup for dates, or maybe just eyeliner, unless she feels she needs to for the occasion.
Then there are women who look great with makeup on, but I just don't find attractive when they're not wearing any.

For me, women that use minimal make-up are far more attractive and a woman without make-up the most attractive - because then they are really who they are.

 Guys r deffinitely more attracted to a girls without make up...I m telling u that from my experience and experience of my gfs.My bf loves me natural and hates when i put make up.Also all guys i know think the same...but that also depends of a girl,there s a reason why some girls dont leave house without make up.
But u shouldnt be thinking about what guys like,think about what u like,when u feel like wearing make up wear it and when dont dont wear it.Cause guy will notice u cause of ur apperance but stay with u cause of something else.
