i know what you mean, when i first started shaving i was like that, id shave one day and it would be soo smooth, then the next day it would be a little bit stubbly and id get rid of it but it wouldn't be pleasent, my main advice would be dont shave everyday!, seriously guys arent going to mind if you have a few prickles there a long as its not overgrown! and if you leave it for a few days before shaving again then you will get the smooth look again! and use a lotion like nivea or sudocream after you shave it does work! and leaves it smelling fresh also!
so yeah id stop shaving everyday dont put yourself through the hassle unless you really want to shave every 3-4 days if you really want to keep it smooth otherwise id do it bout 1-2 a week, hope this helps!

I guess some people feel so passionately about this issue that they have to call others' well-meaning advice about what personally works for them 'nuts'? Nice. First, I'm not suggesting the hair grows back fully every day, just that there will be stubble I like to nip in the bud so it stays smooth. The hair on my legs and elsewhere grows so slowly and fine I can get away with shaving once a week before there is noticeable stubble, so I don't think I have abnormally fast growth. Anyway, I shave because I'm very active and I find keeping it smooth and hair-free down there helps keep everything smelling clean and irritation-free from the sweat and movement. Hairs absorb odors, so if you have hair down there it's not going to smell as nice no matter how clean you are.I find the cheap razors and just soap lather works for me best, but I have ultra fine body hair, so maybe that's not for everyone. Shaving cream/lotion gives me no extra benefits, so I don't use it. I also find expensive razors are too sharp or something because they usually leave tiny cuts that irritate the skin, which the OP is trying to avoid. So there you have it.

Using veet doesnt irritate my skin in that region and also doesnt leave infections. No bumps, cuts or scars. If the occasional ingrown hair does pop up,i just free the hair with a tweezer and pluck it out. AND if i want to keep it smooth everyday, especially if me and hubby are on holiday, i just shave lightly pulling my skin taut. If you have to put pressure on the razor, then you have to throw it away. also use baby oil afteqwardr

I too find that doing it as I shower everyday is the best result for me, but I guess everyone is different. I use the more expensive blades however, with the soap already attached as I found the cheaper razors cut me up.
My friend does hers daily too, but she doesnt actually wet the area at all but uses talc. She has done that for about 10 years and it works for her.
As for what the guys like... does it matter... I do it for me, and you should be thinking along those lines too.

unless you have abnormally fast-growing hair, i can't imagine your hair has completely grown back by the next day. a little bit of hair down there is ok. nobody can really keep it baby smooth down there all the time. and nobody really expects you to keep it like that.
my suggestion is to buy a good razor. not any of that disposable crap. and since you're not completely used to shaving that area yet, definitely use shaving cream. and the most important part is to only shave about once every 3-5 days. maybe even only once a week. not many people can shave that region every single day and not get razor burn.

I'm a guy, and here is my answer.
I don't care about the hair looks wise. Actually when my girlfriend shaves it all the way off it's makes me feel a little creeped out because all of a sudden she looks like a prepubescent down there, and that is NOT my thing.
I do however, like it to be "maintained" I don't mean shaved or even like neatly trimmed or whatever... I just don't want hair going up my nose when I go down on her.

Some men are really into the porn star look. But I am not so into men who are so into porn.I think as you get older, you'll find a lot of men don't care about pubic hair. A lot of men find razor burn, ingrown hair, and scars (from the previous) grosser than a bit of bush.My advice would be to stop shaving, otherwise it will just get worse and you'll permanently scar your skin. If you decide you really want the hairless look, invest in laser or electrolysis treatment. It's permanent and it doesn't get ingrown after the treatment. I have tried both (for keeping the area looking generally neat, I don't go for the whole hairless look). It's expensive and it hurts like mother, but it's worth it in the long term.

What works for me is to do it in the shower every day. It takes 5 seconds to do. Your skin will eventually grow used to it and you won't have those bumps anymore -- if you do it every day. I do not use a shaving cream, just soap, and I use the cheap multipack triple-blade disposable razors, because I find the complicated all-in-one razors with gel packs and curve technology and so forth leave cuts and irritate the skin in that region. Once you get in the habit of shaving every day, I get the best results from shaving the hair in all directions; for example, draw the razor up, then down, then diagonally, etc., not just in the direction the hair grows. If your skin is irritated you can put deodorant on it. Best of luck :)

Shaving isn't bad, but don't do it too often. It's not THAT big of a deal, really. Some guys that prefer shaven won't really be turned off if there's hair there. It's just a preference.
