This isn't the sort of thing I want to seek help about from a doctor, so does anybody have any advice on how I can get rid of this?? I don't know where it's come from, but over sometime in the past couple of weeks I'm itching. What's up???? Reply to this Question Share |

what i dident mention earlier is that men can get yeast infections too and ministat is the came as canestin what another poster explained to get it works for males just as much as females they also have jock itch cream EXPECIALLY made for jock itch i would check your area for lice(which another poster quoted it might be) and bumps or sore spots it might also be something of another STI if that is the case SEE A DOCTOR there are ways to sooth the itch
cool or luke warm baths will help NO SOAP ADDED!!! it will make it worse!!! or a nice cool shower where cotton underwear (like another poster also mentioned) and i would suggest sleeping WITHOUT anything on during the night it aso helps alot
good luck i hope both my posts have helped you out

Try

and see whether it fits what you've got.

I'd suspect jockstrap itch. It's a a persistent and itchy fungal infection in and around the male genital area. I had it on the leg where it rubbed against the testicles. You could see a doctor, but even your local pharmacist could probably suggest a medication.

This could probably be a yeast infection or vaginal thrush. There's this product called 'Canesten' which comes with a pessary and cream and it's free if you get a prescription from your doctor and works very effective. But, ask your doctor first on your sympthoms so we know.
Best of luck. Sarah.

Wash with soap and water and then apply honey on it.
Honey has antibacterial qualities . The itch is probably caused by sweat and bacteria.
If it does not work , go see your GP.

The only way you can know what this is or how to get rid of it is to visit a doctor. Suck it up and go see one, no matter how much you don't want to.

Well if you're sexually active. The itching could be caused by public lice, not very nice but it can be sorted out easily.
Other than that, it could be an allergic reaction/ irriatation to a new soap, showver gel or bubble bath?
An anti-inflammatory cream from a chemist should do the trick.
If there is still an irritation, see a doctor, they'll understand.
In the meantime, dont use anything perfumed and wear cotton underware, it should help stop it itching for a while.
Good luck
