I certainly do, and on a regular basis. My wife loves it because no hairs in her mouth during oral sex. I like it because the sensation during cunilingus is suberbe.

A male reader, raft Canada +, writes (29 April 2012):

I don't think it's weird. I have a specialist using hydrolosis (not as painful as you may think) regularly. I don't like having hair on my genitals any more than having oral sex with my wife if she is not shaven. My wife loves' it.

A male reader, almorr United Kingdom +, writes (19 February 2012):

I don't and never have shaved my pubes, I only know 1 guy that does that, I have seen what it looks like, it takes me back to when I was a little boy. Most women I know do not like men who shave or cut any hair 'down there'. Nature endowed men and women to have hairy bushes, the only time a man or woman should shave their pubes if they are going to have oral sex, and as I don't do that, I just stay natural.

A male reader, anonymous, writes (26 January 2011):

i've tried trimming, shaving, and waxing. most girls seem to like trimmed best, but, the two best sex partners i've ever had, both, preferred me waxed. they, both, were as well, and, i really loved going down on them. currently, i trim them every two or three weeks. i really enjoyed the feel of having no pubic hair, though, and, liked girls without pubic hair best, too.

A male reader, Gr8Marine United States +, writes (10 March 2009):

Ok, I shave mine almost totaly clean. That doesn't make anyone any less of a man. I don't wax my testicles. It causes bruising anyway because the skin there is too loose. I leave a patch of hair just above the appendage about 1/8 of an inch thick. It looks cleaner. I think men and women look like monkeys if they have too much hair. I prefer a girl who shaves completely bald, or has a very thin patch, preferably not longer than 1/8 to 1/16 long. I don't like to go down on someone and have to keep spitting hair out in the middle of it. It doesn't itch if you continue shaving it. Yes, it does itch the first couple of times, but it's like shaving the face, after a few times, the itch goes away. Not only that, it's more sanitary. If you have a bunch of hair and get hot and sweaty, your nuts smell like ass at the end of the day. The same goes for the women. It also keeps women from having to pick clots out of their hair during their period. Sorry, I know that's gross, but it's true.

A female reader, SirenaBlusera Mexico +, writes (31 October 2008):

SirenaBlusera agony auntOh, I am sorry to get off on a tangent but I am really curious about something.

I understand that Natives don't have much body hair.

What about male pattern baldness?

What ethnic group is prone to suffer from that, and which is more likely to keep their hair?

Or, does nationality have anything to do with hair loss?

I'm just curious because men in my family don't seem to grow a lot of facial hair... but they don't lose their head hair either.

I'm British and Spanish and a few other things... but I have relatives that almost look Asian. I always wondered.

SirenaBlusera agony auntI was always curious about Mexican guys, thanks for answering. I wasn't sure about most of them, but a couple of my friends have told me that they don't grow any (or very much).

I suppose it's a fetish. Unless you're a professional swimmer, though, I don't think it's particularly appealing. I think that trimming it is a much better idea.

Beards and moustaches are disgusting and need to be shaved off, unless (like I said) you have a ZZ Top fetish.

Of course, it's nearly Halloween, and if you don't want to invest money on a costume you could always shave it all off, paint on two little eyes, and say that you're dressed as an elephant. The only problem is the possibility of getting arrested for indecent exposure.

Yes, a nice tidy up, perhaps a trim if very hirsute, but a clean shaven haven?

A reader, anonymous, writes (25 October 2008):

ha ha theres been a lot of random answers to that simple question lol.

i think that during oral sex then yes its amazing that a guy shaves and he probably thinks the same if i do , it makes it a bit more enjoyable and a lot less 'hair in the teeth' either way round.

the first time you do it , it will itch like mad growing back, and if you havent done it for a while , but if you do it reguarly and keep it well groomed , there will be no problem ,

also to get a good close shave, do it as you would your face, but extra carefully ,

and cow boy

****Also, I've often wondered about pubic hair and sexual attraction. Pubic hair grows when a person reaches sexual maturity. I have to wonder what signals shaved genitals give out to our subconscious mind.******

iv thought about that many times myself, especially when i first did it ............:S it is a tad worrying lol

Cowboy agony aunt

I trim mine to about 10mm, but I've only shaved them once when I had a tattoo there.

The itching drove me mad, and I'll never do it again!

Also, our genitals look ridiculous enough as it is, mine looked like the last chicken in the store when I shaved.

A female reader, SirenaBlusera Mexico +, writes (24 October 2008):

SirenaBlusera agony auntI really love that Spanish phrase "en gustos se rompen generos." It's quite true, people's personal preferences run the gamut.

I don't see why men would do that, but it's a personal choice and I guess that some women are turned on by it. It's all subjective. It wouldn't turn me on for a guy to shave that area, but, by the time I see that part of someone, he will have been around for awhile.

I'm a woman and the thought of a straight razor makes me squirm. If you must remove it, they can wax it at a salon.

A friend of mine told me that he shaved that area once, and he told me that it itched like mad when it was growing back. I don't know if he painted little eyeballs or not. I'm too embarrassed to ask him.

Facial hair is really gross, though. Unless you're a member of ZZ Top, you have no business growing a beard.

This is a little off topic but I'm curious,

When I lived in Mexico, I noticed that most guys have no hair on their chest. Does this mean they don't grow any because of genes, or they remove it? I was always too shy to ask.

Danielepew agony auntWell, I will take it that you have something against me, Fade. There is no point in discussing this point, however.

Once I said that, if I went faster than a certain speed while driving, I wouldn't trust myself. By that, I meant that a sneeze, a millisecond of distraction or something could cost me a lot. The "confident" guy who was driving said that after 100 KPH, he only trusted himself. Yeah, right. I think my life expectancy is much greater than his.

Deejuliet, now I can't eat my little animal cookies. I see the elephant and I laugh.

A male reader, anonymous, writes (24 October 2008):

No real man would ever consider letting hot wax or anything sharp near such a vital area. Unless they were planning on swimming in a competition (where it helps to have less hair on your body).

Those that do shave and wax are called Metrosexuals. These types are frowned upon by most of men-kind because they give women a false idea about what a man should be.

Men should have some hair. Mean should have a little stubble on their face occasionally.

Is it a double standard? Yes.

But one that deserves to exist.

A male reader, Danielepew Mexico +, writes (23 October 2008):

Danielepew agony auntDeejuliet, you're very funny :-). I will remember this joke whenever I see an elephant.

I can offer this thought. Where I live, men my very young 38 years of age don't shave anything but their moustaches and beards, if they have any, that is (not all of us do). I know that man who are even younger don't, either. But I've heard my niece say that she likes men who shave body hair. She claims that makes them look neat and clean. She's 15, so I assume there has been some change in this regard.

I also remember seeing a documentary about a young American man who regularly shaved his head and his body hair. He claimed that "chicks" loved it. Now, rather than an elephant, he looked like those roosters that don't have any feathers in their necks :-). I wonder what "chicks" loved it.

My opinion? Don't shave. Why? Beard and moustache is a different thing, of course.

Woody Allen once wrote (or said) that, if God wanted us to go around naked, we would be born that way. I will borrow Woody's phrase and say that we would be born hairless if God wanted us that way :-).
