Do I dream of him because he is on my mind so much?

A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

Hey. I've fancied someone for a while now and I've been having lots of dreams about him because of this. I know this is normal because I think about him so much during the day. He (apparently) seems likes me too and it's become obvious to others that we like each other.

Over the last few weeks my dreams have started to change. Normally he's present and I feel nervous in my dream because of this. More recently I've been dreaming of finding love notes from him telling me how much he loved me. I also dreamt that he texted one of my friends to let me know that he loved me. I then dreamt that he came to find me and asked if I was going to kiss him, because it had been a long time coming and I'd have to kiss him sometime. I didn't kiss him and in every dream nothing happens. He only tells me how much he cares for me.

So is this because he's on my mind so much? I'm wondering if my brain is trying to play tricks on me because of how I feel. Or is there something more to my dreams? I'm finding it a bit weird at the moment! Thanks.

He is respecting you. And the question of the kiss, he is asking you to marry him, and he knows you will only marry him if the approval of all is acceptable. He loves you. :)

Phoebe Halliwell agony auntHey :)

Little piece of trivia for you: Studies have shown that we have seven or eight dreams in one night but when we remember them we kind of mash them all together in our head into one dream, that's why sometimes they seem very random and don't make much sense.

The fact that all your dreams seem to involve the same character says to me, and the others here, that you obviously care about him a lot.

I too am curious as to why you're not acting on these feelings. Making the first move can be scary, and it is possible you fear things won't turn out as romantic as they do in your dreams. But if you know he likes you, and you like him, go for it! Love is hard to find, if you have a chance of happiness, why let it go by?

I hope it works out for you! :)

rcn agony auntWhat I want to know is why are you not acting on these feelings? That's what you need to be doing, and not dreaming all of the time. You two like each other, tell him. You're driving yourself insane. You could be meeting him lips to lips and not dreaming about that kiss. Come on, what are you waiting for?

And yes it's because he's on your mind, it plays into your dreams.

I agree. You're getting so close to kissing him in your dream then not because you actually haven't in real life yet. If you both obviously like eachother then ask him out he won't say no so nothing to worry about :)

dirtball agony auntYes, it is because you are thinking of him so much. Dreams are not premonitions of what will happen. I had this same problem. I had a girl on my mind all the time. She haunted me while I was awake and showed up in my dreams the same. It was because of my strong desire to be with her.
