writes:ok thanks to everyone who responds, i really appreciate it. I know this will probably seem so obvious to people and also possibly stupid but I would love some input.ok well i went out last night and was with my flatmates at a student bar/club and there was this guy that I had my eye on all night. He was with his friends both girls and boys and he kept looking back at me all night. Eventually he came over and asked my name, where I was from etc etc. obviously things went from that to some kising and dancing. One thing i respected him for was that he nevr felt me up or did anything too forward and seemed much more interested in knowing more about me. One thing that made me feel a little uncomfortabe was that he was 25 and im almost 20, in my impression i kinda felt he just wanted a fling with someone much younger. But im not sure as my ex was a good 4 years older than me aswell.Anyways he asked for my number and i left to go home. so what im aking is how long do guys usually wait to call a girl? or is it just plain and simple and that he was just trying to get layed at a club? Do guys go out to clubs just to hook up? im sorry if this seems to stpid to ask. im telling myself not to get my hopes up at all and that its probably that he just wanted some fun but i would appreciate some input from guys and girls. Always meet my partners at clubs, but that's because dancing is important in my culture.. not sure about the kissing thing, to me that's a bit too fast.. I save my kisses untill I know someone better..
Yea, sure guys call you when they meet you at a club. But be carefull to find out if he's looking for sex or a proper relationship.

Well.. While it's true most guys and yes even girls go out to try get 'laid' most weekends, some are genuine people that are just out and happen to meet someone that takes their fancy.
This guy doesn't sound like someone who just wanted sex, he gave you his number and didn't push you for sex, if he had asked for sex however then there's the answer to your question.
Having said that, untill you meet up with this guy you'll not kno what he's after.. So if your looking for someone as a potential bf obviously make him work for it ;) if he works, his intentions are honest, if he tries to get in your pants on the first date, most likely he's just looking for a fling.

 A guy will usually wait a couple of days so that he does not come off as desparate. Not all guys go to just hook up with girls, there are some who only ask someone who they are truely interested in seeing outside of the bar scene. I've always gone to the bar just to have a good time and there have been a few times where I meet girls but I don't go for that purpose.
