writes: hi.i have an embarassing question. i have contracted herpes from a complete stranger. my mother is asking whats on my face and i keep telling her its a cold sore. this man randomly came up to me in the subway and statred kissing me, then he ran. a week later i noticed a large blemish on my upper lip. what do i do?

Treat it with blistex. It works wonders. However if it continues to remain seek medical advice. It could be many one of many conditions which might require medical attention. From now on be more cautious of strangers and try not to travel alone if it seems a problem. God bless you and be safe!

reader, anonymous, writes (21 October 2007): A herpe on your face is a cold sore. How could a guy you never met before just come up to you & start kissing you? Did you immediately back away? The herpe virus is the same as the virus that causes a cold sore, but is a different strain of virus than genital herpes.
